Soundproofing is the process of developing acoustic treatments to suppress, reflect, diffuse or absorb sound waves either at the source using products such as baffling or insulation on automotive engines, pipes/ducting or machinery rooms, or at the destination using technologies such as double glazed windows and insulation to reduce unwanted external noise from road traffic, airports and other rooms within offices, apartments and other residential dwellings.

To successfully soundproof a garage you need to isolate the existing structure either by using resilient mounts or by creating a room within a room. You can do this with metal furring channels or timber studs and fill them with dense acoustic insulation and use a combination of soundboards and our Barrierboard to line both sides of the new frame.

Product quality is exceptional, Luca (installer) managed to solve a difficult problem with one particular door. Great support and assistance from whole team, Milli & Luca, which also included carrying one door frame up 14 floors of fire stairs as it was too large for the lift ! Outcome is well worth the investment.

We are so happy with this product and service! We wanted to reduce external noise and insulate our 1980’s apartment block so that it’s warmer in winter and cooler in summer. We can’t believe the difference! The leaf blowers, nearby trains and current roadworks are cut out almost completely. I can still hear some nearby birds just out the window which is nice. The most amazing change is our spare bedroom - we always kept the door closed because it was so cold it felt like Siberia. Now, it’s the same temperature as the rest of our unit - amazing!!

A great job. We had a very challenging front door area in a turn of the century house to be soundproofed. Luca did an amazing job with all the irregularities the job threw up. Nothing was square, the door frame was very unusual and the stain glass had shifted. Luca worked with precision and skill adapting and rebuilding where needed and not once did I hear him complained. It was a delight watching him fashion his magic. Thanks so much for such a great result.

We just had our double glazed windows installed by Luca at Soundblock in our bedrooms and he was an absolutely pleasure to deal with. Very professional and friendly and the price quoted was very reasonable. Free measure and quote who they responded within 24 hours. Micheal came out and provided his honest opinion and was very transparent as we live on a busy road in Randwick. The service provided by Soundblock was second to none. I would definitely recommend Soundblock to family and friends. Well worth the investment with the difference in noise reduction.
