As a clinical psychologist, I believe the keys to a good life are optimal mental health, having work and activities that give you a deep sense of purpose and joy, and having satisfying, loving relationships that nurture you to be the best "you" you can be. While I am trained to treat a wide variety of mental health disorders, I do not believe that good mental health is simply the absence of symptoms.
Rather, it also involves learning to connect with and work towards the qualities that make your life a great place to be, based on what is uniquely important to you. I love to help people find out what "floats their boat" and engage in life in ways that make their eyes bright and shiny. I also have a core value of compassion and love working with the "perfect imperfection" of human beings.
