Lisa Johnson has been practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine in Fremantle since 2004, and is committed and passionate about bringing effective change to improve health and general wellbeing. Through her own health challenges in her life, Lisa sought alternatives to find relief and resolve ongoing issues, and through this interest, naturally found her self wanting to share this with others.
Every treatment with Lisa begins with a thorough and in-depth health consultation, where you will provide information on your health history, current symptoms and complaints, and lifestyle influences. Lisa uses Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques such as taking your pulse and looking at your tongue as part of the consultation, to ascertain and prescribe an individual treatment plan.
Every treatment (1 Hour) with Lisa begins with a thorough and in-depth health consultation. Where you will provide information on your main complaint, health history, current symptoms and health goals. A typical TCM Consultation consists of the '10 Questions'. Lisa then uses one or a combination of Traditional Chinese Medicine Modalities; Acupuncture, Chinese Herbs, Cupping, Gua Sha, Moxibustion and Dietary Therapy.
Chinese Herbal Medicines are mostly of plant origin, though some animal or mineral substances may also be used. Some are commonly found in your kitchen, such as turmeric, cinnamon and ginger, while others such as mint or chrysanthemum may be found in your garden. Fremantle Acupuncture does not dispense medicines derived fro illegally acquired wildlife flora and fauna, as well as remedies derived from endangered species.
To support your treatment Lisa will provide advice regarding small, realistic changes to your diet. Dietary Therapy can be extremely effective to help conditions in the body where there is an excess or deficiency of a particular pathogen. Lisa provides advice for common ailments based on the principles of Chinese Medicine, Five Elements and Yin and Yang.
