Food was amazing!! One staff member was a little odd. She started off fine ( our group had accidentally booked twice) she explained the 2 different tables and we chose to go with the picnic style after being advised it had a better breeze. When we walked out and saw the table in half sun, we apologised and asked to change to the other in the shade. At this point she turned huffy and then refused to look at or acknowledge us for the rest of the time we were there. We also noticed she was the only staff member who constantly had her mask on her chin. We also had to continuously put our empty drinks

We were visitors to town, and booked the Waterline for a romantic dinner on New Year's Eve.
Excellent service, great food, fantastic value.
Enjoyed the short rib and the market fish over a bottle of wine, and then the helpful staff even helped us organise a lift back to Yeppoon, (we had a challenge finding a taxi back, being new years eve). It was an outstanding service experience from start to finish.

Food was impressive.
Unfortunately the staff who greeted us, was very rude and obnoxious.
Rude taking order and soured the whole experience, we arrived at 2pm, and they close at 3pm.
Just a poor experience sad, as rest of staff were great and food was good - ruined a dining experience so really can't recommend sadly.
Worse is they were the manager/duty manager.

FYI It wasn't the check in or certificate check, they were just unhappy that people turned up at 2pm, and wanted us to order without being given the menu, then didn't want to give us drinks menu, just plain

We dined there Sat 9th Oct. Wow. absolutely loved it, food was great, wine was great, everything was spot on. All of the above largely thanks to Sarah. That lady is an asset to the place. We had 2 young children in the group and she entertained and amused them as well. Never missed a beat all night and was noticed mentoring others. Truly a great night. Thanks Waterline and in particular Sarah.

In September 2018, we ordered fish & chips (AU$25) and lemongrass beef (AU$23). The presentation was good. The grilled fish was well prepared and tasty. The portion of beef was small but tasteful. Nevertheless, in taste, texture and flavours, the food was not remarkable to excite our taste buds. Beer was served in cans.
