By continually advancing our skill base we aim to identify and effectively treat your foot problems. For your convenience we also provide HICAPS so your private health insurance can be claimed here for podiatry services rendered. We treat patients as our extended family and often treat 4 generations in one family as well as their friends. We do our best to place our patients of Toowoomba, Pittsworth and Clifton communities first.
Services
I am passionate about Podiatry and am a proud member of the Toowoomba community. After graduating at the end of 1983 I furthered my studies most recently by post graduate studies in Podiatric Therapeutics. This was advantageous in gaining Endorsement for Scheduled Medicines through AHPRA; meaning I am able to prescribe antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, analgesics etc when necessary in a timely fashion.
Foot orthoses are shoe inserts designed to support, align, or improve the function of the foot. They are also often commonly referred to as 'orthotics'. Orthoses fit comfortably inside your shoes. There are many different kinds of orthoses. The orthoses recommended by your podiatrist are prescription devices, custom-made to suit your individual needs and biomechanics (the way your body moves).
Around 10cm long at birth, the feet will double in size by the time your child is one year old. At 6 months of age the foot is still mostly cartilage, by 18 years, most of the bones (one quarter of all the bones in the body) are fully formed. At around 12 months most children begin standing and walking.
One of the most common causes of foot and leg discomfort is a condition known as excessive pronation. Normal pronation, or "turning inwards", of the foot is necessary as the foot adapts to the ground. With excessive pronation, however, the arch flattens then collapses, and soft tissue stretches. This causes the joint surfaces to function at unnatural angles to each other.
Heel pain is one of the most common conditions treated by podiatrists. It is often a message from the body that something is in need of medical attention. Pain that occurs right after an injury or early in an illness may play a protective role, often warning us about the damage we have suffered. The greatest incidence of heel pain is seen in middle-aged men and women.

The lady was lovely wish I could give her 5 stars but her receptionists or partner is s down right arrogant man who should not be a Front Counter/Receptionist.
I just finished with the lady came to the counter to pay and he wouldn't even acknowledge me as a person just sat there staring at me,
I said I just need to pay for my appointment he turns around and goes
well you need to give me your health fund card
to which I replied no worries but next time you actually need to ask
he turns around and goes well I can just make you pay in full and you can claim it your self.
