Services
A typical EMDR session takes around 60-90 minutes, over a number of sessions. This varies according to the individual. During EMDR, the psychologist works with you to identify a specific problem as the focus for your treatment session.
You then recall the disturbing issue or event (what was seen, felt, heard, thought, etc) and your psychologist then begins eye movements or other bilateral stimulation until the memory becomes less disturbing and is associated with a positive thought and belief about yourself.CBT supports you to identify and explore your thoughts and emotions and the way they can affect your behaviour.
