One of the biggest challenges in our busy lives seems to be time. Unfortunately, often exercise is the first thing that is sacrificed. Yet exercise is one of the most important factors for our mental, emotional and physical wellbeing. A lightbulb moment came when a client shared that she would need to forego her daily walk because attending our counselling session meant she had no other time for exercise.
Counselling is for individuals for whom anxiety, depression, stress or some other challenge is affecting their quality of life. Traditionally psychology has focused on what is wrong with a client rather than what is right with them. I apply positive psychology which focuses on the strengths of the individuals and how to use these strengths as a buffer against depression and anxiety.
Most of us are asleep; living life with no awareness of the effect our early childhood conditioning, past life experiences and unhelpful belief patterns are impacting on our present life. At the beginning of each year, I used to set goals in all areas of my life: run a marathon, wake up at 5am every morning to meditate, attract more clients, improve my finances, the list went on and on.
Life coaching enables people to make change and transformation in their lives. Life coaching can bridge the gap from where you are now to where you want to be by examining your fears, beliefs, values and becoming aware of how they hold you back. Most people are unaware of their values yet they determine the decisions we make, and decisions determine the course of our lives.
