I have never been to a pub and felt more like we intruded and we were the only ones there. The older woman that greeted us with "you booked for 1pm" and it was 12.30. I actually asked if she minded us having a drink to which she was very unimpressed!! Another couple came in for lunch & said they felt like they were intruding on the woman! No wonder the pla ever was empty. Our take away impression is that I'm sorry we actually paid for that experience, don't have a pub if you don't want clientele, & we will never recommend anyone to go there. A big thumbs down!

Meals were fantastic, well priced and a big variety. Nice location, just a short drive from Walcha.
Be prepared for the less than friendly initial welcome, but she warms up after a chat!

Rude lady behind the bar/waitress, it appears she may be the owner of the beautiful little pub, it’s a shame her attitude was appalling 👎

Gary and Suesann, the proprietors of the Walcha Road Hotel, showed their community spirit and generosity by providing a hot breakfast to the nearly 30 attendees of the dawn service on ANZAC day. Much appreciated.

Yummy wholesome food, rack of lamb, amongst other things, to die for and if you're lucky even sell freshly baked sourdough bread 🥰🥰🥰🥰. Visited with a group a while ago when we'd had a major frost overnight and their pipes had burst but they still managed to feed us a scrumptious meal with a smile. Definitely will return.
