Heel pain is among the most common causes of foot pain and can be debilitating and frustrating. Whilst not the only cause of heel pain plantar fasciitis is the most common cause of heel pain in the foot. Shockwave Therapy uses a machine which fires an acoustic 'pulse' into damaged tissue through a special hand piece with the aim of reducing pain and stimulating a healing response.

One of the most underestimated and overlooked causes of chronic knee and ankle pain is poor foot alignment. When we walk the position of our foot plays a huge role in the positioning of both the knee and ankle. If the foot is not striking and operating in the correct position it is highly likely this can contribute at some stage in a lifetime to knee and or ankle pain.
Fungal nails or onychomycosis is a common condition that can affect the toenails of the feet. The condition can leave the nail looking thickened, misshapen and crumbly and often turns the nails a yellowy brown colour. If untreated the fungus can eventually effect the whole nail and result in painful nails.
Flat feet can be a contributing factor in the development of many foot conditions. A foot that "collapses" or "over pronates" can place stress on several parts of the body and lead to injuries in these areas. Pronation is the word used to describe the movement of the foot when it rolls in. If this movement is too great it begins to overwork several muscles and ligaments.
An ingrown toenail occurs when the edge of the nail pierces, or puts too much pressure on neighbouring skin, causing the nail to grow into the skin. Ingrown toenails can be very painful and debilitating when left untreated, ingrown toenails run a high risk of infection or complications if left untreated.
