Services
We offer regular consultations. During these visits our Vets will perform an examination and discuss any issues you may have with your pet and recommend the best course of treatment. This could be for a range of reasons from your pet being off food / unwell to suffering from anxiety or arthritis.
Visits to our cattle include routine calvings & caesareans, displacement surgery, downer cows, unwell animals, herd health visits and advice, pregnancy testing and dislocated hips.

The common symptoms of dental disease include bad breath, red / swollen / bleeding gums, a build-up of plaque on the teeth and often a reluctance, due to pain, to eat their regular food. After a consultation with our Vets / Nurses we decide on the treatment plan required. Sometimes this is a diet change and sometimes we are required to perform a clean and scale with extractions if necessary.
All new puppies and kittens need to be vaccinated against the common diseases that they may be exposed to. The first vaccination is given between six and eight weeks of age. When your pet visits us for a vaccination they are also given a health check. C3 Vaccine helps prevent against Canine Distemper, Canine Hepatitis & Canine Parvovirus enteritis.
A microchip, which is the size of a grain of rice, implanted into the neck of your pet will provide your pet with lifetime, permanent identification. The chip is inserted under the skin of your cat or dog. This chip has a unique number that corresponds with your pet's details and your contact information that we lodge with the Central Animal Records data base.
It is very important that the new pet that joins your family receives good quality feed to ensure it has the energy required to grow. Our Nurses are available to answer any questions you may have regarding your pet's feeding regime. We stock a wide range of the Hills Science Veterinary Diets for both dogs and cats.

I bought my cat in today. Now the Vet was lovely no faults at all. My argument is the fact I got charged £56.85 when I walked into the vets room I said that his wound had healed so didn't need a consultation just his claws clipping which should of been £16. 70 which is fine. Why did I have to pay more when I clearly said just claws cut. Now I have no money for the rest of the week as that was my emergency money. I don't work as I take care of my Mum as she is disabled. I don't get alot of money. I'm angry as it's left me short. I have decided I won't be coming your vets anymore if your going

Saw Melissa today at the Rhodes Kingsthorpe. She didn't know exactly what the issue was so suggested a blood test as a first step. I asked how much she had to look it up on the computer and I was told no more than £130.00 but reception would confirm it. Agreed to this plan and went to pay and was charged £97.27. Just before 7pm, the Clinical Director called to say we owe them another £70.00 as we were charged incorrectly because of a computer error. She also said that they would do nothing with the blood until we paid the additional money! No apology, just a very aggressive, rude, obnoxious

Brought my cat in to be neutered and he peed in the cage on the way to the vets and panicked so he splased wee everywhere and was covered (including the leash). I told the vets what had happened and they told me if be alright and that they would give him a little wash. When they rang to tell me he's ready to be collected I asked if the lead was dirty or if I need to buy a new one. They said the leash was all good and not to worry. When I got home with him and took him out of the cage he was covered in a pungent smell of urine and the leash was wet and stinking of urine. Very disappointed. Price

The deluded woman who thinks she owns me 😹 brought me in to Rhodes to be spayed, have an ID chip fitted and a health check up.
They are very nice people and were very kind to me, they explained everything to my staff, and she has enrolled me in the Pet Health Club too. The £12.50 a month covers vaccinations, health checks and flea treatments...I might actually let her put me back in the carrier and take me back one day, but I'll never forgive any of them for putting me in the cone of shame! 😹😹😹
