Services
Gareth Edwards Optometrist began in 2006 as one practice in Toowoomba and has since expanded to include two other locations, Millmerran and Oakey. Our belief is simple - early detection, quality products and giving back to the community wherever possible. We strive to give our customers the best possible care and exactly what they need to ensure their eye health is performing its best.
Whether you're due for a routine eye test, suspect your child may have eyesight issues or need help managing an underlying health condition, we can help!. At Gareth Edwards Optometrist, we offer a wide variety of services to ensure our patients' eyes are performing their best and are as healthy as possible.
We provide comprehensive eye testing to ensure our patients' eyes are performing their best and are free of any health concerns. Regular eye checks for those who already wear glasses or contact lenses are essential to maintain clarity and eye health. These should be organised at least every 2 years, depending on individual needs.
First we start with a careful case history to work out any symptoms that you have noticed while considering any previous diagnosis and your family history. We also take into account your current health issues, such as Diabetes and Arthritis, which can impact your eye health. This is when we use our high magnification microscope to view the structures of the eye, eyelids and tear film.
It's very common for younger children to not realise they have a problem with their eyesight so it's important to arrange a routine check-up to ensure there aren't any underlying issues that are going unnoticed. Regardless of whether they are symptomatic or not, it's important to instill in our children the importance of a regular eye examination.
