Aurora Alice Springs Charles, NT

We stayed for 2 nights at Aurora, to get some rest and some good sleep after our tour. The beds were super comfy, the continental breakfast had all we needed and after a hot day out it was awesome to arrive in an air-conditioned room. Great location and very quiet. I liked that the location, it was right on the shopping strip and a very short walk to the supermarket.

A very comfortable, friendly and professional experience provided by the staff of the Aurora Hotel. The service was excellent, the staff very helpful and friendly and the Red Ochre Grill restaurant provided great service and delicious meals for dinner. Aurora Alice Springs offers convenient accommodation in the heart of town.

The owner walked in on us 5. and he took out a nerf gun and shot us with 500 nerf darts and OWCH! and i pushed him out the 7th floor window into trash.

Came to Alice spring to mountain bike…… was told after 2 days into a 7 day stay that I couldn’t put my bike in my room.
Alice springs is a mtb Mecca and certainly will have to stay somewhere else from now on

The staff we interacted were all nice. The accommodation is very average at best but the location is good, on the mall. We booked a "family room" for 2 adults and 2 kids but it was a motel room with 2 queen beds. Cleaning was not up to scratch and there was a cockroach in our room. The car park is small so sometimes you don't get a space. Our room had access to the courtyard with a BBQ and tables, which was nice too.

The best thing about the place is its central location - literally at the back of Todd Mall. Can't beat that.
Room clean but very basic, same with the bathroom. OK for a night or two if you don't expect too much.

We were taken to Alice Springs Hospital from Kings Canyon. As a carer I had no sleep for 24hrs since our arrival in Kings Canyon. The hotel accommodated my request to check in early at 6am as I really needed a bed to crash. Five stars for being a life saver and directing me to food close by when I needed it.

Very disappointed in the place. While the reception and service at the front house were great, the rooms are horrible and the entrance through carpark cumbersome to say the least. The room had a stale smell, not very clean and the beds are uncomfortable. I would not recommend staying.

I didn’t like the hotel. My girlfriend got a foot infection from the bed. The manager snuck up on me in a dark ally and acted super weird and aggressive and insulted me because of my parking. However the front desk guy was pretty cool. Overall won’t stay there again, wouldn’t recommend.

Fabulous helpful staff at reception. Secure undercover parking with combination locks for entrance and exit to the car park.
Our room was clean and well maintained, but lighting was average.
The Aurora backs on to the Todd Street Mall and is in the centre of town.
Well worth staying at.

Shocking for Qantas to have recommended this hotel to me. While the reception and the inside garden are nice, they seem to be a facade to hide the horrible condition of the room.
- Shower was full of black mold. Not in a difficult to reach place. Everywhere! Lazy or incompetent cleaning staff.
- Heating didn’t work. It’s a problem with 2 degree Celsius nights!
- Peat Control capsules next to fridge.
- Worn out paint
- Uncomfortable mattresses (the type where the entire mattress moves like a boat.
- Dates from 60s or 70s with no remodelling what so ever
