Each piece is crafted individually, not mass-produced, and we can custom-make it to your measurements, timber choice and finishes. It is how we've always worked even in the beginning. We began in a farm shed in 1972 when our father, John, decided he had seen enough poorly made, disposable furniture.
Using time proven traditional methods like mortise and tenon joints and dovetail drawers, he started to craft furniture from solid timbers. Ten years later, as the company grew and employed more and more local trades people, we moved to our factory showroom in the Adelaide hills. Today our furniture is sold in our Adelaide Hills factory showroom and our flagship Norwood Parade store in the Adelaide.

We ordered a dining table and 8 chairs and were absolutely delighted with the product delivered. The only reason we chose Pfitzner Furniture was because it was made not only in Australia but in South Australia. The quality of the finished product is superb. My only criticism is that in 16 weeks waiting for the furniture to be made we heard nothing from Pfitzner. The only time we had contact it was initiated by me. It would have been more assuring if we received a monthly update by email.

Pfitzner Furniture did an amazing job of designing & installing our custom floor-to-ceiling bookshelf in our lounge/dining area. They listened to our ideas, matched colours with our existing paintwork, and even designed a beautiful sliding ladder & rail in natural timber. The installation went really well, and they even made some suggestions for alterations to tie the bookshelf in with our room better at the ceiling.
If you're after excellent customer service, design & workmanship, I can't recommend Pfitzner Furniture highly enough!

Needing to update out dining table and chairs we finally settled on Pfitzner Furniture who were prepared to custom make our table and chairs to perfectly fit the limited space we had. The finished product exceeded our very high expectations. Thanks to all staff involved from salesman,Jeremy, to the fastidious delivery men on a job well done.

I have recently purchase a beautiful jarrah dining table from Pfitzner’s. I cannot speak more highly of the very professional service, from the moment I walked in to the showroom through to to the delivery of my table. The staff are very patient and accommodating and provided me with excellent advice. Nothing was too much trouble. The service certainly matches the quality of their beautiful furniture.

After touring the Pfitzner factory to witness their craftsmanship firsthand, my family ordered an extendable dining table and chairs from them. We are quite proud to have these pieces in our home. Along the way, they gave us timely updates on our order status and easily met the their deadline. They took great care that the pieces arrived unblemished all the way from South Australia to our home in Texas. Here in the US, it’s a luxury to have quality furniture from Down Under and not the typical inferior Chinese junk that degrades most American homes.
