In 1983 CGC Engineering was established in a small workshop at the rear of a house in the Southern Suburbs. Our main production was the reconditioning & modification of automotive cylinder heads. We supported standard repair workshops, performance upgrades and the racing industry. It did not take long for the business to grow.
By 1984 we were at a point where we had far outgrown our small facility and a larger commercial property was needed. We decided upon a shift to a 300 square metre factory unit in Osborne Park along with the addition of new staff members. This space provided us the extra area that we needed to continue to support our customers' needs.

Services
Our Twin Wire Arc Spray process offers cost effective repair for damaged or worn parts. Most commonly repaired areas include: bearings, seal journals and hosing bores. We follow a strict process for the preparation and application of materials. The advantage of the TWAS process is the minimal temperature that is used during application.
The high powered diode laser has enabled us to expand our repair process to offer a high quality metallurgically bonded material with virtually no heat affected zone. We use an established process to produce a high quality coating. Laser metal deposition is controlled by a high quality powder feeder system and multi-stream coaxial nozzle that channels the Laser Beam and Powder simultaneously creating a molten pool on the substrate surface.
