This was an infestation of Gorse on top of an old mining mulloch heap and tailings area. Some of the gorse was so high it dwarfed our equipment. The small pile of dead gorse at the front of this photo took the landholder 6 hours with a brush cutter. This is the site as work progresses. The mullock heap (seen as a small hill) - was reduced in size to assist with future control.
The clients live on a slope and had PVC drains in place that blocked up and were insufficient for the amount of water. We installed open concrete drains, with steel covers across the driving areas, open close to the retaining walls. We also installed black PVC U drains with covers around the edge of the parking areas.
