The Gym Yamba is dedicated to helping people of Yamba and surrounding communities to become better versions of themselves through our physical training programs. The training philosophy of 'The Gym Yamba' is to train with like-minded individuals to encourage outstanding results. The programing is 100% tailored for you and is based on a tried and true formula for successful fat loss, muscle strengthening and cardio fitness.

We specialise in providing you with professionally designed training programs and high-level coaching. We cater for all sports.
Services
Our training is about building confidence around training in a gym environment that enhances strength & fitness. We also equip you with the education to improve your nutrition and enhance your vitality. We lift weights, move our body in space and push & pull random objects, not out of some sense of guilt or vanity (well not all the time) but because we like to take care of our bodies.
TEAM Training: TEAM Training sessions are focused on building full body strength in a group setting. All clients from beginners to advanced are catered for at their current abilities making it an excellent training option for all. You will learn how to move and lift correctly to avoid injuries in and out of the gym all in a positive and supportive training environment.

Matty is a pro. He offers a wholesome and comprehensive mindset to working out.
I am personally not a gym person but attended for a month to get my body moving again.
Matty motivates you and pushes you in a respectful and supportive manner so you stay consistent.
The gym is well setup and you can feel a good sense of community.
Matt will individually assist and challange you. He is very knowledgeable and gets you moving safetly to feel your best.
I would recommend this gym to anyone who doesnt feel the need for external validation, who wants to work and focus on their PB. Matty and anyone

I live in Sydney and holiday in Yamba about 3 times a year. I've been going to Matty's gym since he opened. I keep going back cause Matt's a great trainer and motivator. Year on year, Matty has been making improvements and he is always investing - he has an awesome setup with loads of equipment and very clean too. The people that train there are great and there is a real sense of community.

Matt is an exceptional trainer, his classes are challenging yet fun. He has created a brilliant environment for his clients. I was visiting Yamba and checked out a few gyms but take my advise look no further than this gym under Matt guidance you will have a great work out which changes and challenges you everyday. Matt is always friendly and helpful. The gym is not too crowded with equipment; there is space for a good workout. Managing covid restrictions with the minimum of fuss and optimum safety. Keeps members well-informed.

This is such a fantastic gym. Spent a week up in Yamba and visited the gym almost every day. The gym is well set up, classes are challenging and varied. Matt is welcoming and keen to share his knowledge regarding health and wellness. If I lived up in Yamba I'd be training here for sure!! Thanks Matt and hope to see you again up there soon.

The best kept secret in Yamba! The owner is friendly with a lot of expertise and the gym has all the equipment you need for cross-fit, power-lifting and even your standard half-motivated gym goer.
Since moving away from the town, I have never been able to find one that even comes close to comparing!

It is incredible to be able to take my toddler and work out. She has such a good time and enjoys being used as a human weight when she needs some love. The classes are great and Matty is passionate, truely cares about your technique and helping you get fitter. What a champ! Not an intimidating gym at all. A really friendly atmosphere with people there to get the job done. Highly recommended for anyone, but especially to mum's with little ones as there is a play area set up and an environment for you to do something for yourself while you have your child in tow.

I've never been a gym person. I find franchise gyms that I've been to in the past boring, intimidating, and lack personal touch.
After participating in one of The Gym's 6 week programs, I've now become somewhat of a gym person. I love the personal attention that the trainers give to everyone, they are super helpful and supportive. I especially like how open it is, so I never feel like I'm coped up inside not enjoying the beautiful Yamba weather. The classes are awesome(although at the time I often don't think so...haha) and suited to anyone of any ability.

As a serial Gym-Joiner, I have had memberships at each of the gyms across Yamba, Maclean and Grafton over the past 15 years - continuously signing up, 'forgetting to go' wasting my time and money and getting very bored very quickly. When I signed on to The Gym I thought I was going to get more of the same.
Thankfully though, Mat has created a completely different space to anything I've been to before.
The TEAM Training is strength based and personalised, with a hands on training approach and more support and instruction I've had before - even from previous PTs.
