Dancing made easy. We cater for all ages and at all levels of experience, from wedding couples, beginners, social dancers, medallist through to competitors. We have group classes for beginners and more experienced dancers. You can also book private lessons for singles and couples. We also have children classes.
The focus of this class is to teach or refresh 2 dances during the first hour then social dance until 9.30 pm. The last Wednesday of each month is a non-teaching night with social dancing only 7 pm to 9.45 pm. Singles and Couples are welcomed. All Cabarets and Balls are held at the Campania Club 5 - 9 Famechon Cres Modbury North South Australia. Note: New Years Eve differs with the request bracket being 7.00 pm until 8.00 pm and the dance program is from 8.00 pm to 1.00 am. The cost is $25 per person. SWAY's New Years Eve 2018-19 was a sell out event, even though extra tables and chairs were added.
We can provide dance routines to suit your music. One of the common mistakes is leaving the dance routine to the last minute when all the stresses of the wedding arrangements are upon you. The earlier you can start dancing, the better it is and it allows the muscle memory to kick in so you dance without having to think so much about the steps.
Dance exams are an excellent way to learn dances as it gives you a focus and assists with continual improvement and technique. Rotary Chasses are common in a number of dances. EG: Military Two Step, Evening Three Step, Merrilyn, but also appears in dances such as the Mayfair Quickstep. This does not explain different rotary chasse endings such as heel pulls or heel turns required in some dances.
