Services
The Club has been active as a private Club since 1957 when it was established by the staff and patients of the hospitals of Mont Park, Larundel and Gresswell. In fact the land on which it still exists today was once the grazing and farming areas of the hospital complexes.
Today, it still operates as a not-for-profit organisation, managed and operated by member volunteers, enabling the Club to offer low-cost membership fees and competitive Green Fee charges to the general public. All course maintenance and improvement works are carried out by professional ground staff contracted to the club, assisted where appropriate by member volunteers.

The Club offers a range of instant membership to suit individual golfing requirements for men, women, full time students and juniors. The membership process merely involves the completion of an application form and the payment of the appropriate fees. More detailed information relating to the various types of memberships are available from the office or the Pro Shop.
Although Strathallan is a semi-private club, it welcomes and invites members of the public to enjoy a game of golf on its course. Whether you are an individual or a member of a group, the course is available on most days outside of club competitions. The course is open to the public from dawn until dusk on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays and normally after 1.30pm on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.
The course has a slightly undulating layout set amongst a natural wooded grassland environment that features a number of large River Red Gum trees, some reputedly reported to be over 100 of years old. The course is flanked on two sides by a Habitat Link that consists of areas of natural vegetation and home for a number of native birds and animals and creatures that include kangaroos, echidnas and reptiles.
If you would like to be to be on our newsletter list please email the club or our Secretary, Jennifer Parfett. We are always looking for volunteers, both to work in the office and to join our Working Bee Group. If you can spare some time and are interested, please call the Club. Insufficient players for C Grade or Women's competitions so these combined with A & B Grades respectively.

It is a really nice, well maintained 9-hole course that is steeped in history and beautified by delightful large River Red Gums that are hundreds of years old. Add Kangaroos at dawn and dusk and ducks waddling around and local birdlife in abundance it is a really enjoyable (and totally affordable) golfing experience there for sure.

Awful service. I called on Saturday 1pm and made a booking for Sunday 9am. Myself and three friends arrive on Sunday morning to find the course closed. A call to the club is met with a voicemail saying they decided to close on Saturday evening. No attempt was made by the club to inform us the club was closed, meaning our Sunday morning was doomed to be wasted due to the laziness of the staff here. Will not be playing here again and recommend against it to people who expect a basic level of customer service.

Course is in very poor condition, greens are not mowed or rolled. Fairways are extremely dry and mowed poorly, simply the worst golf course in Victoria. I would highly recommend playing Yarrambat Park Golf Course or Bundoora Park Golf Course or Growling frog Golf Course instead of wasting money on a unrealistic and very poor golf experience here.Furthermore when i requested a refund from management after playing the front nine of the 18 i had payed for i was told refunds were not possible due to them not being able to know if they had given a refund or not which i found quite ridiculous. Very poor
