We walked in and we’re taken to the Oberon room, a room full of expensive paintings all at shoulder height directly above half of our party of twenty. On more than one occasion, members of our group bumped into these, making the evening more and more stressful as the drinks came out. Food was decent but came out in a spectacularly ridiculous order. Half of our entrées came out 10 or more minutes after our mains, and our sides of chips were being walked out of the kitchen as we were starting to eyeball the door. Serving staff were friendly and did their best to help, but were ignorant of when

Please update your allergy statement on your menu. You state that you take care to avoid gluten transfer but your menu items labelled as gluten friendly are cooked in the same fryer as gluten items so not taking care to avoid transfer. I'm sure there were other items on your menu that could easily be made gluten free/friendly instead.

Visited with a group of family. The meals were not super great, pretty average. They came out really quickly which is never a good sign, like maybe it’s been sitting in a bain marie. The service was good, but just a little underwhelmed with the food.

We visited the Fish Creek Hotel for lunch today and we really enjoyed it. We went with a group of 9, two families with kids aged from 9 to 13. The food was all really good, primarily good quality pub food (fish and chips, parmas, steaks etc), plus a few fancier items. The food was all good and served quickly (especially the kids meals). It wasn't busy when we were there. The beer was also good. We'd definitely go again.

When you walk into a pub like this your expectations aren't massively high. If its not the furniture and decor transporting you back to 1992 the food definitely will. Steak wasn't trimmed, under seasoned and blue in places with zero flavour. Peppercorn sauce with ginger? Huh? Actually a saving grace cleansing the palate.

We know this hotel can really deliver & we also know you have your off days which it is unfair to be judged by. We must have had a below par day so read on for why we felt this but form your opinions by reading multiple reviews. We were greeted & provided with a menu & our attention directed to the specials. The pulled lamb looked good. Meanwhile my wife was drawn to the southern fried chicken although wanted only a single piece of chicken. Time to order. When I asked for the pulled lamb there was some concern & after checking was told none of the specials were available. This was at 6:15pm so

This pub is a actual disgrace never been to a more dysfunctional pub in my entire life I’ve been in here multiple times, the meals are over priced and inconsistent, the service is actually very appalling, the guy behind the bar Micheal Wilcocks was trying to crack onto my wife and our 16yr old daughter making them feel very uncomfortable! We got served raw food here the last 3 occasions we’ve been in here, and asked the staff to send it back and nothing happens no refund or to give us a free drink or anything, they call there self pub owners what a joke will definitely never ever be coming

Really nice people, great fish and chips and burgers. Cold beer, a HUGE fish on the roof which entertained the kids during dinner... and they even have a car charger!
Well worth a visit.
