At Straight Orthodontics, we believe it's never too early or too late to achieve your straighter smile. No matter if you're a teenager or adult at any stage in your life, a healthy smile is important. This why we are happy to help everyone achieve the smile of their dreams. However, during the teenage years between 10 to 14 specifically is the best timeframe to undergo braces treatment.
Well braces are the perfect option for you, as they are efficient, effective and the fastest option. Ceramic braces are traditional braces with a discreet appearance. The brackets are made from a fine tooth-coloured porcelain material instead of the traditional stainless steel. When these brackets are paired with white archwires and clear rubber bands, the braces are virtually invisible.
There are so many orthodontic treatment options, but not many compare to the time-tested conventional metal braces. Not only are they generally more affordable than other alternatives, they are effective and can sometimes be quicker when fixing specific concerns, especially complex issues. Metal braces use brackets bonded to each individual tooth to hold the archwires in place and elastic bands to help move teeth into the correct positions.
Braces and clear aligners can create your beautiful smile, but a retainer can maintain it for life. Braces and clear aligner treatments help create straighter teeth and correct dental issues; however, teeth shift all through our life. Which means that once orthodontic treatment concludes, if no follow up maintenance is carried out, your teeth may return to their original positions.

I headed in to see Dr Peters and staff at Straight Orthodontics for a second opinion to correct an overbite and some reasonably crooked teeth in my mid 30's. Dr Peters applied braces and referred me to a surgeon for jaw surgery mid treatment. I couldn't be happier with the whole process and the end result.
