Stay where two World Heritage areas meet - the Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef, in our ideal positioned retreat nestled in the lush rainforest. Our 10 spacious guest suites cater for 1 to 6 guests and are the perfect base for exploring and discovering the magic that is the Daintree. Once you cross the Daintree River you enter an amazing world and our tour desk can help you plan your activities.

It is not difficult to spend a day relaxing at Daintree Rainforest Retreat, but a short drive from us there is plenty to do and see. There is a bitumen road all the way to Cape Tribulation so a 4WD is not necessary. There are lots of close beaches where crowds are never a problem. Watch the sun rise over Cow Bay beach, enjoy the board walks in the National Parks, explore and discover.
Services
Daintree Rainforest Retreat is situated amongst the amazing mixture of plants, vines and trees that make the Daintree Rainforest so unique. Fruit trees, colourful flowers, vines of all shapes and sizes. An incredible variety of birds, lizards, frogs and animals call the Daintree Rainforest home - no fences or cages just watch them, listen for their calls, take photographs and enjoy.
A land of ancient tropical rainforest, rugged mountain peaks, incredible beaches, fish filled rivers and crystal clear waterholes. Watch the sun rise over the water and set behind the mountain peaks. Walk the board walks, listen to the sounds, snorkel or dive the reef, take time to experience the magic.
The Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef need time to be explored and understood. Free activities abound with many boardwalks through the rainforest, the mangroves, and the hills. We can book you in to an exciting snorkelling trip to the reef - it's only a short boat ride to a local reef area where you are the only visitors.

Lovely Lady running it,
Wifi was down during our stay.
TV's in room down due to covid so understandable.
TV area with plenty of movies (CD player).
Pool was great, shallow and deep end.
View was great, surrounded by nature and beautiful plants, very green.
Small extra entertainment/living room situation near reception, small pond there.
Rooms were nice, no aircon or tv as mentioned.
Bathrooms slightly outdated but clean.

Beatiful place, first time I arrive and I see the place just like in the pictures. Travis was so nice to us and he helped us to make the most of our trip to Daintree. Definitly would recommend.

Great little place, just out of the main road in Cape Tribulation. But no problem with the noise. Rooms were big enough and clean, it is in the middle of the rain forest so there will be some bugs around. As the whole resort is running on solar power there is no air con but the fan was enough even on of the hottest day of the summer. Staff was really friendly, taking the time to point out all the places of interest around.

Great place, totally beyond my expectation. Host is super nice and passionate. Room is very clean and tasteful. Dats network and WiFi are challenging here, but I found it good to be occasionally disconnected from the outside world to truly enjoy nature.

Great motel with clean, comfortable rooms. The owner is very welcoming and helped us plan our trip around the Daintree. The location is great as it is right across the road from Cow Bay Hotel and a great base to explore the Daintree.

You won't find better accommodation in the very heart of the Daintree. The staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you. Best of all the staff know the Daintree and the best spots away tourists are not aware of. This is a very relaxing and most comfortable retreat to relax away from it all...

Such a beautiful place to stay reminded us of Bali.
Margaret was so helpful in guiding us to all the best spots away from other tourists so we could get the best out of our holiday. Loved the pool in the morning to wake up.
This is in the very heart of the Daintree - and this is why you should stay here. Enjoy your stay as we did.

This place was everything that I had hoped for. We stayed for 7 nights, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would come back in a minute given the chance. Travis (manager) is a champ and extremely welcoming. The pool was a massive bonus. Some might say that the lack of air conditioning is an issue but for me it was fine. Travis' help with organising our activities while in the Daintree was fantastic and he seems to have a great knowledge of the restaurants in the area. It is going to be hard to top our stay here.
