There's never a dull moment at the most fun hostel on the Mid-North Coast. We organise a huge variety of free activities for you to enjoy with your mates and you'll get to make new ones too. Surfboards, body boards, canoes, stand-up paddle boards, kayaks, snorkel gear, fishing gear are all available for FREE!.
There are fruit picking jobs in and around Coffs Harbour that will count towards your 88 day work requirement. The Coffs Harbour area has fruit picking jobs available all year round. Some of the produce grown includes blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, cucumbers, zucchinis, macadamia nuts, bananas and avocados.
DRIVING NORTH (from Sydney) look out for the Police Station on the left. At the lights turn right into Park Ave, you will see Woolworths. At the roundabout turn left. At the next roundabout turn right into Harbour Drive. Head straight on for 1.7kms look out for our big orange fence on the right. DRIVING SOUTH (from Byron Bay) go past Big Banana on right, Park Beach Plaza on your left.

Awful experience staying at this hostel.
We were literally screamed at by the man working in the evening when we arrived, we just asked to finish cooking our food for another 10 minutes after 10PM and we were very respectful, not making noise. See previous review by Alex, I was traveling with him. The staff in the morning hours were much nicer, but unfortunately they have yet to get rid of the rotten egg working evening shift.

Pretty average place to stay. Free hire of kayaks etc which is good. Also the lady at reception was so so beyond lovely, the man on the other hand, very much the opposite. Shower heads desperately need replacing, also super easy to have some more shower hooks in the showers also. Don't think the showers or toilets were cleaned while I stayed there, as the hair was still in the same place two days later in the showers. Mattress covers + pillow protectors also don't seem like they are cleaned. Just overall not very clean. But if you can get past that, it's not too bad to stay at!

I lived there a month o maybe more. Good: People ok you can find young people, is possible hire Kayaks for free, they have restriction of people in rooms. Bad: From reception the owner is not the most friendly person, cleaning side it's so bad: bedbugs, hundred of cockroach in the kitchen at night. Some kitchen stuff in bad condition, and toilets same. Just need maintenance and change this things. And yes I stayed in here

Hostel was okay, the bathrooms were very dirty and had clearly not been properly cleaned in years. Room was okay however when my friend and I arrived we were missing some sheets so I told the reception and then a male staff member came in without knocking? To give us the sheets and didn't even properly explain who he was or what he was doing which was very rude and confusing imo.
The free gear for outdoor activities is great however and the female receptionist was lovely and very helpful.

I had a great time staying here! The owners are amazing and very welcoming. Had a blast making great new friends and the location is fantastic.
I stayed over the Christmas period and they played this fun "secret santa" game. They always had fun activities like this on a regular basis. Always felt a great communal vibe.
Would 100% recommend.

The place itself is great, good amenities, nice people around, and really well located. The only reason why I can't give 5stars is because of the owner, he's the rudest person I've ever met. Never talk to anyone, and when he does is to complain or criticize something or someone. And also does some really inappropriate stuff.
Seems like he had enough of being there and the people all the time. You expect a good customer service from the people that you are giving your money to, specially an accommodation place.

Nice hostel. Not too expensive... unfortunately there were cockroaches in the kitchen when we were there. But apart from that they really try to run a nice hostel. Big TV in the living room with Netflix. A pool to cool down, different activities every day and you can rent surf boards. Enjoyed our stay there!
