Anyone travelling up the West Australian coast from Perth to Shark Bay, Coral Bay, Exmouth or anywhere in the Gascoyne will have prepared themselves for a long drive. We see the tired faces arriving at reception, visibly relieved to be out of the car for a while.
But after they've had a chance to put their bags down and head over to the bar for a cool drink, we see the weariness melt away as they find somewhere comfortable to sit, watching the kids run off and find something to do, either jumping into the pool, heading off to the playground or plugging in to the free wifi, or just listening to the birds and watching the sun go down.

One of the best motels I've stayed at. Modern and spacious rooms, awesome pool and playground, plus security is their main priority. The staff were all great, I did some washing and went into town everywhere on foot. The buffet is JUST AWESOME. Even if you don't book accommodation, go for dinner it's excellent. The crew at Carnarvon Motel are all so helpful and happy and strike a conversation with you about anything , (not like some places you see the staff just don't want to be there). Best place to stay in Carnarvon.

Very nice rooms, clean and quiet: ideal for a stopover for a night from/to Perth. Gates are shut during the night and cars can be parked right in from of the room door.
The restaurant offers hot stones + buffet, it is very quick service. The buffet is a good option, just is a bit too salty in general.
Nice atmosphere and staff for that motel

Owner and staff are bloody awesome, inviting and friendly. Beers are cold, food is nice from either the buffet or room service.
Ample parking outside rooms, safe gated complex that’s locked at night. Nice clean pool and kids play area. Even if the rooms are a little dated, they are kept clean by the team. Would happily recommend a stay here and support the local owner.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, restaurant was super busy early, recommend going after 7pm. My son and I had the Salmon Hot Rocks👌😋 Delish! Beds were comfortable and room was spacious. Quite an old Motel, the carpet was pretty dirty. Linens also not 100% Kitchen was good, just no sink for washing dishes. Parking was close, security was good. Shower was average.

Very welcoming and very helpful staff at this Motel. The rooms are huge and super clean. The glasses in the fridge are all wrapped in paper. We have been travelling for 4 weeks and this is certainly an oasis in the Gascoyne. Very well set up for children too. Had dinner at Hotrocks. Very fresh salmon and steak, on the hot plate at our table, our choice of sauce and the buffet of salads, hot vegetables, wedges, chips and other hot foods just superb
