Service hasn't just gone downhill here, it's fallen off the cliff.
Plenty of spaces available upon entry but we were denied a booth that was empty as it was 30 minutes till close and were directed to a regular tablet which was awkward for our small child. We tried to order directly but were rebuffed and told to wait for the cart, no problem with that as the cart was close by but when it was close the staff member left it and disappeared for 5 minutes we did have food when it was staffed again but when we asked for the vinegar and chilli oil we were barked at loudly by the staff member and told

Can't get a simple takeaway order correct. Food that I did get was bland, dry and just a big pile of noodles (meant to be a chow mein!). Waited at the counter for 5min before someone finally acknowledged I was… standing there. Order took 25min longer than advised. Rang to complain, not even an apology. Just kept telling me 'that's how we make it'. BS!! Never again...

Sitting in the restaurant while waiting for the carts filled with old food to be pushed around, or for staff to noticed that they have patrons seated waiting for food....
Seems like the most recent reviews prior to me writing this are no different to what I have to say about the service and quality of food offered.
The cart filled with dumplings sits abandoned while staff chat and linger amongst themselves. Trying very hard to get the attention of the staff to order more food, and to also tell them that the prawn dumplings that they picked out of the cart thats been sitting on the side for quite

The service is terrible. We arrived at 630pm, we got our entrees by 645pm, we were missing a dish. We ordered our mains around 6.50pm. Then 40mins past & we were still waiting - Ppl who had ordered & arrived… later than us had gotten their food. We only ordered a Seafood Tofu Claypot, Fried Rice & Sweet & Sour Chicken. What made it worst was not that we never received our food, it was the fact nobody came to tell us our food was running late, or that they had forgotten our order, nobody stopped once to tell us anything. So when we got up to leave, cancelling our order, the

Quite far away from CBD.
Came here for big family gathering. Pre-order ten dishes for 30 peoples.
Large portion of food. Most dishes were yummy. Two dishes were the best tonight (8-9/10): Salted egg eggplant, and Deep fried prawns with golden Salted egg yolk. Peking duck was made into three dishes (wrap/duck bone soup/duck meat san choi bao) was just average (6/10).
Shortage of manpower. Polite and helpful staff. Waiting time for food and service was acceptable. Service --- 7/10.

WORST experience we've had at a Chinese restaurant in our entire lives. And we've been eating regularly at different Chinese restaurants for most of 30 years. Wouldn't want anyone else to go through what we did. 1.5 hours waiting with no service and not even tea delivered to the table, even though we pre-ordered dishes the day before. Food eventually came out cold or room temperature. Rice was hard and cold and obviously not fresh. Staff were poorly trained and wandered back and forth not taking orders or clearing dishes for over an hour. Had to speak to the manager 3 times before

The atmosphere is always buzzing at Dragon Palace which isn't surprising considering how busy it gets.
They employ a ticket system to get a table (you can't book ahead) which seems to be pretty efficient. Even with lots of people waiting outside it's never been more than a 15 minute wait for me.
Now on to the more important stuff ... the food. In a word, great. Dragon Palace is a yum cha restaurant with an amazing selection of dim sum. Favourites of mine include the chilli pepper deep fried squid, BBQ pork steamed buns, deep fried prawn dumplings and the bok choy.

My first visit was today, we had a selection of delicious morsels from the steamer trolleys. Everything was super tasty. Unfortunately we were too full to try the fried dishes that came later. Will certainly return soon with a big group so we can share more things. Cost was $50 for three of us. It was already getting busy at 11 am so go early.

Tasty tasty yumcha! A family outing to this restaurant proved to be a success, with all of us eating our way to obesity. Seems we weren't the only ones who love this restaurant, as the boss said there is a line outside every Sunday morning from 10am opening time! There are multitudes of options for the vegetarian and gluten free, as well as plenty of meaty and dumpling deliciousness. I would recommend everything, eat with your eyes and pick up whatever tickles your fancy off the passing trolleys. There are so many dishes that are more than just dumplings or BBQ pork buns that you most certainly

Had lunch with my mom and we chose an array of dim sum, dumplings and steamed items. Enjoyed all the steamed dumplings and dim sum. Had a standard taste as in nothing different from the dim sums I've had from other restaurents. The peking roast duck was alright but not the best. The duck skin lacked that crisp caramelized glaze which is typical to this dish and the meat itself lacked flavor. However, it was still ok. My mom and I tried the chicken feet which is a chinese/asian delicacy and it tasted really good. The marination was delicious, sweet and tangy.

"I been drinkin, I been drinkin..." and ended up here for a fun night of karaoke, singing everything from Disney songs, Bon Jovi, Taylor Swift and of course Queen Bey.
Private rooms are available so belting out your favorite songs in one of these rooms isn't quite as daunting as standing on a stage in a crowd of strangers.
With a great selection of songs and food and drinks delivered to the room for our convenience

I love that Dragon Palace is really big so you can get in pretty fast, it also has a much more welcoming decor then some of the other dim sum places in Perth. We came here for a Sunday lunch and pretty much chose every single thing from the cart. It was all really tasty. The soft shell crab is my favourite. I need to order this whenever I have dim sum. I will definitely keep going back.

Dragon Palace on Hay St is a hidden gem. We met up with friends on a Saturday morning for dim sum and the place was not packed, every item we wanted was available, and the quality of food was great! The outdoor view is gorgeous with a little courtyard right outside. They kept the tea coming and did not take long to bring water, when asked. The dessert buns were delicious.
