Claire and her team are the best financial planners I have dealt with in my work as a journalist. That’s why I decided to ask her to look at our finances. Quantum has been my financial advisor for more than 5 years. They provide advice which is always impartial & free from commercial influences. Their approach is necessarily conservative, while at the same time providing realistic returns. We meet at least annually, often twice year, to discuss my portfolio. They handle all the administrivia, so my only involvement is signing a few documents occasionally. I cannot recommend Quantum highly enough.

I am taking the opportunity to post a review of Quantum Financial because, like so many others, I found it very difficult to identify financial planners that met my expectations. This was particularly true of exploratory meetings that I had with planners from one of the Big Four banks.

The two main reasons why we chose Quantum were that unlike many other financial advisors, Quantum charge a fee for service rather than lining their pockets with commissions. Reason number two is that they are small and we’re not “just a number” to them.
We have found that Claire and Tim Mackay follow a rigorous process, including assessing our “appetite for risk” on an ongoing basis.
