Mountain View Caf is situated on the edge of a subtropical rainforest on a ridge overlooking the Glass House Mountains in Maleny. The venue provides one of the Sunshine Coast's most spectacular views and is housed within the Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve, a living remnant of the animal and plant life that once covered the Blackall Ranges.

It is a unique destination featuring not only world class views, but a day out of adventure in the fabulous forest and informative, interactive Discovery Centre with the cafs roof providing an excellent viewing platform. Mountain View is a licensed Caf and attracts tourists from all over the world, not only because of its location having a stunning view, but because the friendly staff provide a delicious food experience.

Had a terrible experience yesterday morning. Our waitress was very rude! This was my second time there. The staff was rude the first time we were there as well but I wanted to give them a second chance. We love to support local businesses and unfortunately we won’t be able to support this one. On a positive note, my biscuits and gravy was really good. Hopefully their customer service will improve. Also, the signs on the tables, the walls, and the front door that say “Please limit your stay to 15 minutes after you eat” do not make customers feel welcome.

I was there yesterday to meet with 2 friends for Xmas. I was the 1st in my group to arrive. I walked in with gifts and the waitress rushed up to me and asked how many? She looked around nervously and then regrettingly (it seemed) said, "Alright, I'll seat you but you can't stay longer than 15 min after eating". There were plenty of empty tables. It was Monday at 10 am. I asked if I could take my party outside then to the picnic tables if we needed more time to visit and she said, "Yes, but don't expect me to serve you outside and you can't come back inside to use the bathroom." It was the oddest

Went over for the first time. Very clean old America cafe. Fresh and delicious! I had the sausage burrito. Outstanding! The green chili is amazing!

Wow. I have never experienced a server’s EXTREME condescending rudeness. Because our third person was three minutes away she was not wanting to allow us to remain seated. She very condescendingly informed us that we passed two signs stating that if your full party isn’t there you’re not to be seated. She informed us we had three minutes until we were out. Uh, what?? Claim to fame: now we have been officially kicked out of a joint. Wow. They were about half full, so it would be completely different if you were so busy you had a line out the door, but they weren’t. You lost three local potential

Find another place. Wife stopped by after church at 11:30 am for a bite to eat. Walking up she was turned away and told they were closed even though hours say 7 am to 2 pm. No explanation given. I understand that maybe they had to adjust there hours for some reason. That’s their business but they might want to share the info instead of a ‘we’re closed!’ Other people sitting outside and eating. It’s a shame because we are new to the area and was hoping to find a quaint place to stop and support small local businesses. Maybe it was her out of state plates. Maybe it was her unfamiliar face

The restaurant itself is quite small and on a nice day we chose to order togo when hearing we couldn’t sit outside. The green chili for the burrito was amazing. The sandwich was good although it was missing something. All in all great little breakfast spot!

Very upset today. We sat down outside to enjoy lunch and waited a few minutes. Sara came out, informed us they were not serving outside today, and turned us away. We have been coming to this diner since they opened. We made sure to order takeout as they begged for customers during the pandemic. The treatment this morning shows me that we wish we had all of the money we spent there back. A Saturday effort to support local business has put me in a poor enough mood to actually write this review.

Not recommended for large groups. Dining area seats maybe 20 people max. Outdoor seating available in the summer. Unique choices of food rarely seen on menus. Brisket and egg tacos with bbq or ribeye steak and eggs with sausage gravy, shrimp spinach and egg benedict. Elk and venison burgers. Large portions. 16 inch pancakes! Fast and friendly service. Certainly worth the trip to dine in at least once for the experience.

Nothing but kind words for this place and the two gentlemen I met this morning. I unknowingly showed up before they opened and was greater warmly and welcomed in. I ordered the Ultimate Mountain Burrito (which with 3 meats I was weary of how greasy it may be, was not at all and was delicious!) My wife and son split the Diamond Skillet and we all shared a Collasal Cinnamon roll (which was amazing, like a cross of a roll and monkey bread in its construction)
Again, the kindness and service alone was worth a 5 star review. We will be returning regularly and HIGHLY encourage everyone to check the

We had a great experience here! Loved our breakfast burritos, biscuits and gravy, and the absolutely hugest pancake ever! Definitely will be back to this wonderful Cafe again next time we visit Colorado Springs. Great service and an amazing meal to jump start your day! Thank you 😊
