Swagmans Rest Apartments

Was the only room left at the inn...and it was better than expected as it was cheap and tucked away in a nice private corner, large and we'll equipped and CLEAN!

Great value for money. We had a great chat with John who owns the site. Would definitely stay here again.

Very clean, well-furnished apartment gave a comfortable night's rest. Alan was very welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Washing machine & dryer worked well. Good value. Recommended!

Friendly, helpful service. Clean and spacious rooms. Included everything needed in the kitchen although couldn't get oven to work. Parts of roof run down but felt very safe.

Very poor service and dirty rooms and ambiance we are staying here last five days. We are here for my wife's delivery at Alice Spring hospital. My aunt and 7 yeras old son staying at this hotel me and wifes stays at hospital. Today morning I came to my hotel room to visit my son and found the room very dirty, bath towels not changed, no toilet roles on the holder and dust bins are full. My aunt told no one came to clean our room. I went reception, I could see one old lady there, I requested her to send someone to clean our room as no one cleaned our room. The rude lady refused my request she told

"Swagmans Rest Apartments The" was my choice of rest during my epic quest across the largest island in the world! Alas, the room had a strange odour, only to be later found a result of some old milk! How repulsive! I ate it, and I fear that it be the cause of my lactose intolerance now. I will see to it personally that the milk will be replaced, only to be consumed again by another quest-goer.

Hi John, Have just arrived home from our epic journey into the centre of Australia. What an incredible country we have and the people we meet along the way make the trip. We were fortunate to have the Visitor's Centre in Alice organize for us to go to The Swagman's Rest Apartments. As we are campers this was a delightful rest and opportunity to watch some of the Olympics and revitalize. We met John, the owner, and nothing was too much trouble and so helpful with all our requests of information. Had some really good chats and loved the atmosphere of The Swagman's.
