Services
Dr Nat and Dr Amanda joined the practice as part-owners in 2019, with Dr John splitting his time between Wallaroo and Perth these days. Dr John has called Yorke Peninsula home since 1994. He started Seaside Vet Surgery in 2013 and has proudly watched the practice grow. In late 2019, Dr John invited Dr Nat and Dr Amanda to join him as practice owners, which has allowed him to spend more time in Perth with family.
Our sessions are all about fun times with your puppy, focusing on interactions and rewarding playful behaviour. There are many benefits to teaching your puppy to be well behaved at an early age. Young puppies are quite able to learn obedience skills, toileting behaviour and social boundaries. All of these things help make your relationship with your dog more rewarding for the years to come.
Seaside Vets are part of our local community and want to give something back to the people that support us. We sponsor Wallace the resident cat at Wallaroo Mines Primary School in Kadina, he is a bit of a naughty boy and often gets into fights, so we have to mend his wounds and vaccinate him against feline aids and catflu.
Because pets age so rapidly, major health changes can occur in a short amount of time. The risk of cancer, diabetes, obesity, arthritis, heart disease and other serious conditions all increase with age. Today's pets are living longer than ever, chances are that many may experience a potentially serious illness during their lifetime.
Vaccination has revolutionised control of infectious disease in our pets. It is essential that all pets are adequately vaccinated to help protect the pet population as a whole. Responsible pet care requires kittens to be given their initial course of vaccinations, but this cannot protect them for the rest of their lives.

They took good care of Jasmine, who went in for an ECHO. I really like Dr. Blount, whom we'd not seen before (we were patients of the late Dr. Cranford). He thoroughly explained about Jasmine's health, caring for her at this stage of her life (she's 20), her medications and their effect, etc. They were very accommodating of our needs and schedule (we're part-timers on SSI) and generally very pleasant to work with. Love that we can check out in the exam room and exit through a rear door near the parking area!

We had a great experience at Seaside. The vet and tech were super nice and helpful. My dog can be a little anxious and they were so nice to her and made sure she felt comfortable. I asked if they could trim her nails for me. No problem! They got them trimmed and they look great! I appreciated the fact that I was able to check out inside the exam room. It made it so much easier for me. Happy to have found this office on the island.

We have used this veterinarian office for several years and we were crazy about Dr Cranford who sadly passed away recently. Dr Cranford was the most genuinely nice and compassionate veterinarian we have ever had. We have used this office for well checks, vaccinations, boarding and illnesses of our pets.
We left our dog there for a week while we traveled out of state and had no worries. However, when we picked him up, he smelled awful and looked worse. He was missing a lot of fur around his nose and had sores on the joints on his legs. His eyes had a lot of discharge. I was brought to tears when

I went to Seaside under stressful circumstances when my cat was very sick. Dr. Molly Lieske and all of the staff were so companionate. They helped me through a very difficult time with understanding. I would highly recommend Seaside.

We have always had very good care at Seaside, but when we brought in a stray we found on Christmas morning, we were overwhelmed by the resources and caring that Krista and Dr Taylor brought to little Sandbar. They spent time to research the chip; locate the original owners; give a rabies shot and prescribe some needed meds. They also gave us quality advice on how to proceed with this fragile little Chihuahua.

I have been taking my 2 furry children, Ziggy and Bruce, to Seaside for several years now. The vet techs and vets are all well-experienced and sweet to my pups. Dr Blount gives good advice and has accurate diagnoses for the dogs. He also keeps us well-informed on what our dogs actually need amongst a variety of optional treatments. Appointments are easy to book and alter as the receptionists work hard at keeping everything organized and timely.
Seaside is highly recommended by me.

Both the vet tech, Rachelle, and Dr. Taylor were wonderful. It speaks volumes that these professionals spent more time with me and showed a sincere interest in the health and well being of our golden, Logan, than the five minute consultation the orthopedic surgeon graced me with at an appointment this week to discuss a hand injury. I only wish that it was a shorter drive from Savannah. That being said, we will continue to call Seaside Veterinary Logan's vet.

This was my 1st trip to the vets and I was fortunate enough to get a kind and compassionate individual who got my sick cat in quickly. The waiting room was comfortable and the staff very friendly and professional. They quickly got us in an exam room and took detailed information and examined my cat. The doctor knew exactly what the problem was and treated him accordingly. Everyone was good about explaining what I should expect and the doctor said my cat should be fine within 2 days and to call back if not. My cat was fine just as predicted but what really impressed me was that the doctor called
