Coastal Kombis is a family business based in Ocean Grove on the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula in Victoria and specialise in classic VW Kombi Wedding Cars servicing the Geelong, Surfcoast and Bellarine Regions. Like a lot of things in life we didn't start out with a plan to develop a business based around our love for our Kombi's, it just sort of 'happened' over time.
We came to realise that the simple Kombi Van appeals to people on so many levels. There is just something about them that stimulates everyone, of any age, to put a smile on their faces and to feel 'chillaxed'. It's hard to define really but as you drive past people in a Kombi they cannot help themselves but to stop and stare and to smile and wave.

Services
We currently have two matching beige and white Kombis available, 'Dormy' and 'Stormy', see 'Our Wedding Cars' section above. Considering the age of our vehicles and associated transit times we generally operate in the Geelong, Bellarine Peninsula and Surf Coast (Torquay) areas, 30 minutes drive from our home base.
She is a 1971/72 Lowlight Dorrmobile camper, hence the name 'Dormy' (named by our daughter) and we have had many a great journey and wonderful memorable times with her. Recently receiving a full and extensive makeover she has been fully repainted throughout and also now has a luxurious new interior.
Of course it could be argued that they are one and the same thing however regardless, restoring a car can be more than a little difficult and downright frustrating and annoying. Not to mention when you are doing it yourself there is no one else to subsequently blame and hence there are more than a few moments where it would be oh so easy to just give up.

AMAZING service!!!! The communication between Matt with the lead-up to the wedding and all the changes I kept making, was unbelievable. He was so accommodating and friendly. He made the planning side of things… a great experience. On the day of our wedding, there are no words to describe Mark and the efforts he went to. Not only did he calm me down, but he also had lollies, drinks and was our own little service for the whole time he was there. He also took photos! The communication between the company and us was outstanding. I highly recommend this company. A massive thanks to Mark!!!!!

Amazing amazing service, we were very lucky to be able to book a Costal Kombi for our wedding on NYE. The entire process was very simple and communication throughout was awesome. Thank you to Mark our Kombi… driver on the day, he was INCREDIBLE!!!! Mark was amazing in so many ways, he had drinks, water, lollies, fans…literally everything and was so so accomodating to us all. Best wedding experience ever! We had the pleasure of meeting Matt & having his services for the day. He was absolutely amazing, the Kombi was spectacular & he was on hand with beverages, snacks & stubby coolers for our needs. To top the drive off, he had a camera on hand, which was just a treat! Matt even took photos for us & parts of the ceremony, which he sent to us free of charge included in the experience to us that night, so we could enjoy some photos straight away!

I have worked alongside Coastal Kombi's for years and am instantly relieved and excited at the same time as soon as I hear my couples have booked Matt to look after them on their wedding day. Matt and his team go above and beyond for all of their couples, they don't just drive, they really care. They will exceed your expectations and you will feel like you have family looking after you on your big day.

Cannot recommend Matt enough! He picked myself, my bridesmaids & my parents up. From the moment he arrived, he was warm and professional. I had no idea he would be taking photos, but we are incredibly thankful he did, he captured so many candid moments that we will cherish forever.
We also got a late night pick up, Matt came inside and took some photos of us leaving which we wouldn't have got otherwise as our photographer was gone by then.

Coastal Kombis was absolutely fantastic. Matt our driver/organiser thought of everything, from food and drinks to ensuring umbrella's were ready in case of rain. The Kombi was comfortable, well maintained and on time, which helped ensure the day ran smoothly. Matt was also happy to be completely flexible with locations and timings - very helpful when having to re-plan at the last minute due to COVID-19 restrictions. Would definitely recommend.

Our special day was topped off with Coastal Kombis!! Service was flawless, personable and fuss free. Not only were they on time, they thought of everything from drinks and refreshments, umbrellas for weather changes, kept to a schedule so we weren’t late to photos and they snapped some beautiful pics of behind the scenes! Highly recommend them!!

We could not recommend Matt and his Kombi more!! He brought such amazing energy to our day, made us all feel completely at ease and relaxed and was clearly a veteran professional with lots of experiences in weddings. He made us laugh so much and the Kombi was just absolutely beautiful. He went above and beyond in every aspect of the day and all of our guests commented on how awesome he was. I would highly recommend Coastal Kombi Weddings. Matt was lovely and quite literally had everything we could have needed, from wet wipes, to lollies, to beer, to blankets and umbrellas.
A bonus we didn't even realise until the day was that he also brings along his own professional camera, so we ended up having double the photos which was amazing.
Matt is great value for money and made our wedding extra special.

We could not rate Coastal Kombi high enough! Matt was incredible from the very beginning and very easy going and fun to be around. He took some amazing photos that were sent to us the day after our wedding. Throughout the day he provided refreshments and lollies, and tunes in the Kombi, and made sure nothing was forgotten. The Kombi itself was perfectly clean and was big enough to fit all bridesmaids and my family in. It’s very clear Matt has lots of experience with weddings as he doesn’t miss a beat!

He has thought about every contingency before you even knew you might need it, and has it on board....even Miracle tape.
