After many years of industry experience Steve 'Tumbi' Corney decided to open Tumbi Tyres in 1987. His aim was to provide an alternative to the "big chain" style stores for the motorists of the Central Coast. The original store was in Bon Mace Close, Tumbi Umbi, and after only a year of trading the success of the business saw the need to move to bigger premises in another building on the same street.

Our fearless leader Steve has been on plenty of off the beaten track adventures with NETS 4WD for kids, The Variety Bash, Royal Flying Doctors Service Trek and Targa - so he has plenty of intel to share.We are an RTA authorised e-safety check station. Vehicles more than five years old will require a safety inspection as a condition of registration renewal - check your rego renewal notice if you're not sure if you need an inspection.

I have a puncture in my tires and when I rang up, expecting to have to buy a new one, they let me now I was covered by road hazard insurance from when I bought the tires a year ago...I have completely forgotten.. They could have easily charged me for a new tire but they didn't.. they showed real integrity and went out of their way to help... I travel 1/2 hr. to get to them... time very well spent. Thoroughly recommended

Twice the guys have come out and fixed our tyres... Driver came out to fix our tyre on the weekend and couldn't do it in the van due to the Tyre being to wide for the machine.. he drove it back to Tyre shop and fixed it .. got back, then realised we needed a Torque wrench to tighten up to specific nm.. he then drove back to tyre shop and got the correct tool.. these guys are awesome to deal with and super friendly ... they have a return customer for sure .

I would like to thank the team at Tumbi Tyres for their outstanding customer service and for asssiting me while stuck on the side the M1. I had 2 LT tyre's blow out heading north from Sydney yesterday, so I rang and spoke to Joel and he helped me out straight away. He sent one of the guys to change out the tyres on the side of the M1 and I was back on the road within about 2 1/2 hrs. I can't remember the fitters name, but he was very professional and an asset to the Tumbi Tyres team.
