Situated in the heart of Ballarat's caf strip, Europa has been serving delicious food, fabulous coffee and delectable house baked treats for over 23 years. We are fully licensed, with all wines poured by the glass, featuring some from our talented local winemakers. All day breakfasts mean you can get your brekky fix any time, with a lunch menu that caters for all tastes, and changing specials capitalising on our local seasonal produce.

Take in the ever changing weather Ballarat is famous for by pulling up a spot on our front terrace, or venture inside and enjoy the generous, welcoming space we have created. So if you're here for a visit, pop in to enjoy what we have to offer, and don't forget to save room for some of our house baked treats!
Services
Europa can cater to your individual needs, whether it be a small gathering for dinner, or a cocktail party of up to 120 guests, we can cater an individual package that is perfect for your event. Our central location makes us easy to get to, and with historic Sturt St as your picturesque backdrop. We also cater off site if required, providing all that is required to make your occasion one to remember.
Thanks to the Europa Team we had a memorable function in our own home with little personal effort! Kathryn organised everything, it was really good value, and the lovely finger food, just kept on coming! The bonus is that we enjoyed our own party as much as our guests did! The sticky date waffles are still referred to as a gift sent from the gods!

Just stopped for coffee and cake, one of the cakes was stale, l asked for a Piccolo, got a Macciato with barely no milk, we came from Melbourne to support regional businesses but sadly were disappointed. At the very least you should have fresh food and if you you don't know how to make a Piccolo , ask me !!!

Staff was friendly. Food was ok but not very exciting. Small servings, a bit fatty (even the leavy green dishes) and bland in taste. Their Europa theme isn't reflected in their menu or style either.

Tasty menu, ambience and decor could use some TLC though.
We had the Roesti and the French toast. Roesti was a nice house rendition with beetroot and pumpkin. The French toast was tasty and the serving was great. Though the plating could have been better as the plate itself was tiny.
The decor is a little drab and there isn’t sufficient light in the cafe. The furnishing doesn’t help to increase the brightness either.
Coffees were alright. Not bad but nothing to write home about either.

Knowledgeable staff with friendly demeanor. Really good coffee and the grilled haloumi is worth coming out for. I ate the Spanish omelette and loved the fresh ingredients. Highly reccomend.

They were able to accommodate eight of us with no notice. I got the prawn pappardelle, which was simple but nice. It came with six big prawns, which is quite generous for the low price of $22. Some of the menu prices did seem a little odd though. For instance, the cost of a small bowl of chips was high at $9.50 - yet the main meals were all very reasonably priced. The menu is not particularly well suited to vegetarians/vegans. However they seemed happy enough to accommodate for changes to the menu when our friends asked. So overall it was a pleasant experience.

Cute little cafe in Ballarat with black and white umbrellas out front. We had some cakes for tea and they were absolutely delicious, favourite was the lemon meringue hands down. My partner really enjoyed his coffee, regretting not ordering the milkshake!

Great coffee. The new dining arrangements are a great addition to this part of Sturt St. Well done for all who made this possible. Glancing at the breakfasts coming out of the restaurant do provide a reason to go back.
