Services
At Family Matters we offer Neurofunctional Intervention Therapies which harness your brain's natural neuroplasticity. These therapies have been shown to strengthen healthy brain connections and decrease symptoms of Austism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Oppositional Defience Disorder (ODD) and Attachment and Learning Disorders.
Our Drumming Therapy Groups use the Rhythm2Recovery Method to help young people with Autism, Anger Management Issues, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma and ADHD. Fun rhythm activities and movement help with emotional regulation, social interaction, letting go of past hurts, focus, behaviour, self confidence, standing up against bullies and peer pressure.
As we grow, sometimes these connections is our brain don't form as well as they should and this can affect our behaviour, our learning and how we interact with the world around us. The healthy connections in our brain can also be damaged through traumatic experiences that occur as we develop or later later in our lifetime.
