Orthoclinic Specialist Orthodontics is a locally owned and operated practice focused on being the best specialist orthodontic practice in Canberra.
Dr David Madsen is a registered specialist orthodontist with the Dental Board of Australia. His qualifications include a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with First Class Honours from the University of Sydney and a Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry in Orthodontics from the University of Adelaide.
He also holds memberships with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh & is also a Fellow of the World Federation of Orthodontists.

Amanda is our practice manager who coordinates all aspects of patient care outside of the clinic. Managing reception and accounts, she will be the first smile you see when you come to our practice. Amanda is also a formally trained Dental Assistant holding Certificate III and Certificate IV qualifications in Dental Assisting.

Orthoclinic uses the very latest template based electronic appointment book system that has been carefully designed to provide you with the most flexibility with appointment time choice and minimizing wait times. Certain appointment types are seen at specific times of the day to facilitate most short adjustment appointments to be seen at the most desired times, before & after school.

Our experience at Orthoclinic from the point of booking and liaising with Amanda at reception through to the friendly team, and Dr Madsen was excellent. The team are very professional, and run on time, in a beautiful practice environment. Dr Madsen had a very professional, and friendly manner and took the time to explain the imaging and what his assessment was, and the reasons why as well as what to expect and future planning. We would highly recommend this practice and Dr Madsen.

I've accompanied my partner over the last 7-9 months on her multi-monthly visits to the Orthoclinic.
It's a complicated jaw problem, and despite the difficulties and risks encountered over the period of treatment, Dr Madsen and all his staff were always extremely professional, while maintaining consideration and compassion for our situation. In our experience, this is not a balance that many health care professionals manage to strike so well (if at all).
Highly recommended.

Dr Madsen and his team were at all times, professional, polite, caring and provided the highest standard of care for my son. The facilities are spotless, welcoming, modern and designed to ensure that the patient feels comfortable and confident that they will be treated with the upmost of care. Having suffered with a complicated jaw issue for some time, I was referred to Dr. Madsen at Orthoclinic, for treatment. I have since been under his care for 9 months now and I couldn't be happier. Dr. Madsen is a friendly, caring and thorough professional with an honest and flexible approach to his work and patients. The support staff at Orthoclinic are also absolutely fabulous and are always a pleasure to deal with. I cannot speak highly enough of the Orthoclinic team and recommend their services to anyone needing orthodontic treatment.

Have been extremely impressed from the very first appointment up to today when my son is getting his braces off. Extremely professional and personable staff who take the time to explain the procedures and make you part of the process and feel very welcomed. Never felt like we were just a number no matter how simple the procedure was on the day of… his appointment. The facilities are extremely modern and very clean, what you would expect from such a professional operation. All in all we have been very happy with our choice of orthodontist, Dr Madsen and his staff are a credit to the profession

I could not be happier with my treatment at Orthoclinic. As a more "mature" patient I can truly say that having my teeth straightened was one of the best things I have done for myself and only wish I had done it years ago.

From the beginning to the end, Dr Madsen and his professional team always made me feel comfortable throughout the whole course of my braces treatment not once did I feel uncomfortable or intimidated. The level of skill and customer care at this practice is immaculate all staff are approachable and very caring. The practice is very modern, organised and is always in great condition.
