We met in the year 2000. I was shooting her sister's wedding, and I saw her, standing in her bridesmaids dress. She looked beautiful. Two years passed, and we came together again, at another wedding. We started talking, which turned into a long conversation, which turned into falling in love and getting married.
Being a Sydney wedding photographer is to be in love with one of the most beautiful cities on earth. We are an award winning boutique photography studio based in the upper north shore Sydney suburb of Wahroonga. David has photographed wedding across Australia and especially throughout NSW, including the Blue Mountains, Southern Highlands, the Hunter Valley and the magnificent beaches of Wollongong and Newcastle.
At David Henry Photography, we love weddings and we want you to have the best photographic experience and receive the most wonderful wedding photos, and part of that is having an engagement session. The session allows you both, as a couple, to get comfortable in front of the camera and with your photographer, and to figure out how you work best together before the main event.
Somewhere in the last century, women stopped getting their portraits taken. We're not talking about the horrific 'Glamour Shots' from the 80's or the "selfie" obsession that oversaturates our society today. We're referring to the actual get-dressed-up-and-have-a-professional-photograph-done sort of thing.
Kings School is right in the middle of Sydney, next to Parramatta, and is known as one of the country's most prestigious private schools, it also happens to be home to a lovely chapel, beautiful grounds, gardens, and historic buildings. David has an incredible manner that made us feel completely at ease during our wedding photo shoot. He made us laugh when we needed to laugh, smile when we needed to smile, and pose when we needed to pose. Better still, he was able to disappear into the background when he didn't need to be seen or heard. We can't even remember him during our ceremony yet we have so many lovely moments captured.

David photographed our wedding September 2014 and the entire experience was magnificent! Leading up to the wedding, David provided his wisdom to assist us with some of our planning. On the day, David was professional and non-intrusive, allowing my new husband and I really enjoy the day and all the special moments.
