In the Northern Territory, vehicles require a Registration Inspection at 5 years and 10 years, then for vehicles older than 10 years.

Condescending fellow with rudimentary mechanical skills and knowledge charges top dollar for sub-par work. Charged me $90 to perform a diagnostic. Had the work done (injectors, plugs, coils), a few hundred dollars later, no difference. Took the car to a proper mechanic who listened to the motor running and told me to change a $9 gasket. Problem fixed. Also charges double parts cost (charged $300 for a $150 suspension arm and $80 for $44 brake pads).

We had a really bad experience with a high profile suggested mechanic for our vehicle. These guys had to fix up all the stuff ups and they did so with grace, without ever bagging out the other business. We now use them for our regular servicing and can't speak highly enough of them. We feel safe giving our vehicle to them and know they do what they charge us for. Also the customer service is amazing. We will only use these guys now.
