Brighton Veterinary Hospital
Brighton Veterinary Hospital (BVH) commenced servicing Brighton, Seacliff, Somerton Park, Glenelg, Hove, Warradale, Marion and surrounding areas, as a clinic, in 1974 under Dr Gerry Deen's tutelage. We evolved to Brighton Veterinary Hospital in 1988 taking residence in the current purpose built hospital.

We are also proud that BVH was the second ASAVA accredited Hospital in South Australia. As our staff and level of service has expanded, to meet increasing client demand, we still continue to offer a family orientated, professional and caring level of service to all our clients and their pets. One of the enjoyable aspects at BVH is to be now servicing the grandchildren of original clients that we were seeing in the 1980's.
Services
Brighton Veterinary Hospital is located at 526 Brighton Road, Brighton. We are positioned on the eastern side of Brighton road, opposite Hungry Jacks and the Foodland Shopping Centre and next to the old Brighton squash courts. The closest bus stops to the clinic are Stops 36 (if you are travelling south along Brighton Road) and 37 (if you are travelling north.)
At BVH we are committed to delivering a positive environment for our staff. We value teamwork and are genuinely committed to work life balance. We pride ourselves on our ongoing professional development and our commitment to learning.

Brighton Veterinary Hospital is open from 8:00am until 7:30pm Monday to Thursday and on Fridays from 8:00am until 6:30pm.
We pride ourselves in being competitively priced and offering value to our clients. We will always provide you with a variety of treatment options so that, together, we can decide the right course of treatment for your pet, you and your budget. Payment is required on the day of consultation please.
We generally recommend annual vaccinations for both cats and dogs however your veterinarian will tailor a vaccination program that suits your pet's needs depending on their lifestyle and your preferences. Worms, fleas and mites will cause discomfort for your pet. These parasites can be prevented and treated with a range of products.

2.5 not available. Young vet didn't seem comfortable with my lab after a nervous bark & insisted on me fitting a muzzle? Should have asked. I've never heard of a vicious Labrador? Prescribed for an ear infection a bit quickly. On a previous visit a vet insisted on a general anaesthetic to clip nails before even trying. They have provided me with the recorded history but only after I researched the subject.

We drive 40 minutes to take our 2 German Shorthaired Pointers to see Brian.
We have had other vets also take care of us here in emergencies (like a sultana eating episode or when one swallowed an entire chicken skewer including the wooden stick) and they were just as fantastic.
Our dogs are excited to go in when we pull up into the carpark and love their visit (and especially when they get a treat for being good).
We have never had excessive treatments recommended like we have at other vets but they will always offer to investigate if we are nervous or unsure for our own peace of mind.
100% recommend

The sharehouse's cat Fitzy decided to adopt us after 4 years together and moved with us to our new place near Brighton. As part of his adventures outdoors, he ended up fracturing his toes which needed to be amputated.
The way the Vets and team in Brighton Vet Hospital went about the assessment, recommendation and eventual remedy was very systematic, clear and with Fitzy's best interest at heart.
Let's be clear about one thing. The procedure was an expensive one. However, Dr Brian walked me through the procedure on why certain bits were important without cutting corners. In his words, "We are

EDIT 2: My cat is all better!! On top form... I can't articulate how thankful I am towards the whole team for all their endeavours. Brian, Magda and the rest of the team. This truly is the gold standard of a Veterinary clinic! Professional with a heart of gold. Thank you so much for everything.
EDIT: A wonderful team of people who go above & beyond to make sure your pet is receiving the best care. All the Vets and members of staff have gone out of their way to see my kitty on emergency type basis, rang consistently to communicate or check-up on him and have been very transparent and informative

Have taken both my cats and my greyhound here for a few years now. They are always professional and very helpful. Having been to a couple of other veterinary clinics previously, I'd say they are the best on price as well.

Dr Emma and Dr Anna are pretty good vets, they are the only vets my dog will actually let near him without freaking out. The receptionist are always really helpful and nice. But they do have a male vet who was extremely rude to me and my dog (I left in tears) and also he cut open my friends dogs wrong leg! I would definitely ask Not to be given him again. He is the only reason I'd ever not recommend brighton vets. So yeah if you go there ask for either Emma or Dr Anna. I would highly recommend them and so would my super anxious dog.

I've been to a lot of vets, and am so glad I finally tried this one. The staff are incredibly nice and helpful. We see Dr Anna Potts who has offered great, affordable treatment options for my dog's anxiety and my other dog's dry eye issues. Consultation and vaccination rates also seem to be more affordable than the other vets I've used. Thanks Brighton Vet!
