Polished Concrete is a way of treating concrete to create a long lasting dust proof concrete surface that can also be asthtically pleasing. Architects, Homeowners, retailers, educational, warehousing and medical facilities are choosing polished concrete for their floor finish because of the competitive advantage polished flooring offers over other types of floor coverings.
For every type of polished concrete there are subtle differences on what is required to achieve a polished finish. Please read our Buyers Guide to Polished Concrete here for some other factors to consider. In the table below is the position statements of the PCCA and Diagrind (R) which include sections on slab protects, casting requirements and different types of finishes.
Cleaning is obvious. Daily sweeping or mopping helps keep dirt and grime from building up. Of course, clean up spills of anything as soon as they happen. Your floor is harder and denser that most, so it resists spills better then most. Floors protected with C2 Protector are even more resistant - but clean spills up as soon as you can anyway.

Matt and Josh did an excellent job, exceeded my expectations and were just fantastic. To start the quote was done quickly (thanks Jess) and communication beyond that was excellent. The guys turned up exactly as promised and left the place in as good condition as i could expect. They were meticulous in stripping the tiles and screed. Totally recommend!
