Owned and operated Murphy's Contracting from 1996 - 2003. I was one of the largest tree company's in Victoria, covering the bottom end of the state, looking after power lines, Vic roads, local councils, schools, parks, etc. and all emergency call outs. In 2003 I sold shares in the company and kept my share until 2012.
When I sold my remaining shares we had 50 full time employees. I shifted to Queensland in 2002 and started BCS Tree Services servicing the Sunshine Coast. In 2006 I was contracted to assist in the clean up at Inassvale after cyclone Larry hit. I was able to have 15 men on site for a period of 3 months.
