Today my wife was involved in a traumatic car accident. We rang RACV and Code 12 towing attended the scene. We were not explained any pricing. We were told the insurance company “may” pay for the towing only if we bring to their Depo. Or deliver to our premises and incur a straight up fee, of which were told most likely would not be covered by insurance. We felt pressured into choosing the depo, even after I Insisted we return the car to our own premises 5km away. However we were stuck with damaged car. We had the car delivered to depo. My car recently broke down in the pouring rain on a major road and over a period of 20 min. nobody stopped to help me. Eventually Chris from Code 12 stopped and assisted me to push my car off the road, tried to start it for me and then offered the services of his flat top truck. I was extremely grateful for his offer of assistance, as my phone was flat and I could not leave my car jutting out onto the road to go and seek help. Was helped by the wonderful Franco and another driver who's name I didn't get after I was hit by another driver on my way home from work last week. They weren't even called out to the job, they just happened to be driving past and stopped to help. They were incredibly patient and helpful through out the whole incident and waited with me until the police and my husband arrived.

Please be aware if your vehicle is being towed by Code 12. I was unfortunate enough to be involved in an accident and had my vehicle towed to their holding bay. They harassed me about not going through my own insurance but through third party so that they can have my vehicle repaired through their associate repairer. Without authorisation from any insurance company or myself, they towed my vehicle to their "recommended repairer" who then refused to release my vehicle until fees that no one engaged them in were made. Fortunately, I had comprehensive insurance so they paid up. I would hate to think

In my experience Code 12 have been extremely professional and efficient. Their service was exemplary and I would recommend them to anyone needing a tow. I was attended by their operator Chris, who was friendly, courteous and communicated promptly. He didn't just pick up my damaged vehicle after it was rear ended; he also gave me a lift to work, organised a loan car and dropped it off directly to me at my home address. 5/5 for excellent service and a positive experience.
