Established in 2000, Ted's Bike Shop has grown to become one of the premier bike shop in the Hunter Region. There is a large range of bikes in store, from balance bikes, kids 12", 16", 20", 24" and 26", family bikes, hard tail and full suspension mountain bikes, road, triathlon and now the quickly growing e-bike category.
Our friendly and experienced staff will give you expert advice to help find the right bike for you. The shop was established by Ted who has been racing Ironman Triathlon for the last 18 years, and is a finisher at the Hawaii Ironman World Championship. Scott has a long history with the shop being there in 2000 when Ted opened up and working in the shop at various stages since.

Owned and managed by Scott and Kerri Ellis the shop is working within the local area to develop retail and bike mechanic staff. Supported by the original owner and founder of the shop, Ted Anderson, with his 18 years of retail and bike mechanical experience we are excited to take on this challenge and opportunity.

The team at Ted’s are fantastic. I had an issue with my bike the night before a race in Newcastle. The guys said they were not able to service at their mobile setup but would take my bike back to the shop, work on it after hours and bring it back before the race the next day. A completely phenomenal service, and a demonstration of true care that isn’t found in many places. I am so appreciative for the fantastic service they provided and saved my race day. Thank you!!

Not sure what to say here, live locally and wanted to try this shop out due to the good reviews and proximity. Recently bought a MTB and it has a leaky front tubeless tyre, suspect needs new tape around the rim as tyre is fine and goo does not fix it. Called up asking if they wanted and can have a look at it if I drop the wheel off, they have no time or capacity to look until after January. A very minor job that would not take much time to do. Will now go elsewhere, thanks Ted's!

Best place to purchase. I had been from the coast to upper Hunter, phone and in person. No one gave me the attention and information like Ted's. When I called and spoke with Karen I hung up knowing that I would be looked after properly. Went there that afternoon. Left with a bike, helmet, they fitted the drink holder and gel seat to come. Couldn't be happier with my purchase and the service is second to none.

Went in with an issue with my bike that I didn't have the time (or tools at home) to do myself. The staff stopped what they were doing and had my bike sorted, and back out the door within minutes. It was nice to have that old school 'we care and want to help you' feeling from a retail store in this day and age. Thankyou so much guys! If I need any bike stuff in the future, this will be my first stop.
