At Manly Orthodontics it is part of our philosophy to minimize future treatment by intervening at an early stage. The Australian Society of Orthodontics recommends a first assessment by a registered Specialist Orthodontist at age 8 to 10 years. This is typically when the adult teeth begin to appear and developmental problems of the jaws and teeth become apparent.
It is a common misconception that orthodontic treatment is only for children. You are never too old to have your teeth straightened and at Manly Orthodontics we offer a range of aesthetic options for adult treatment. To achieve the best possible results for our adult patients, a comprehensive approach is often required, involving a number of dental specialists.
Ceramic braces, also referred to as clear braces, are the same shape and size as metal braces, but they blend in with the colour of the teeth. This makes them less visible and gives an improved appearance compared to metal braces. Ceramic braces are harder than enamel which can cause the enamel to wear away when the teeth bite or rub against these brackets.
Invisalign Aligners are a nearly invisible alternative to traditional braces for people who simply don't want to be seen wearing braces. Treatment consists of a series of removable aligners that are custom-made for your teeth. These are changed every two weeks to gradually reposition your teeth according to treatment plan prescribed by your orthodontist.

You know when you purchase a big investment (e.g. new car, house) ... you have a 'wish-list'?... you shop around, and then Bingo! You just know when you have found 'the one'.
I felt like this the first time I consulted with Manly Orthodontics.
My daughter has a VERY complicated mouth. Dr Anel instantly explained her solution, very thoroughly, to my daughter and me. She could foresee potential problems and recommended proactive solutions. It was this confidence and openness that made me decide instantly that she was the perfect orthodontist to be entrusted with the care of my daughter's teeth

Dr Anél and her team are amazing!! They are very friendly and make you feel at home every single minute you’re there.
She’s an absolutely amazing professional showed me that even though I was 37 years old,I could fix my crooked teeth and no only that. I’ve had 2 missing teeth and she was able to completely close the gaps and make my smile perfect. Totally grateful that I decided to let her do her magic. If I had to do it again ,I would do it with her again. Highly recommend.

Dr Anel was very professional, kind and helpful throughout the whole process. She gave me all the information on options to select when trying to change my teeth. I went with Invisaline. Invisaline was great and fixed my teeth to how I wanted them to be. Everything went very smoothly and Dr Anel answered every question I had. Great orthodontics place, highly recommended.

Had the pleasure of spending some time at Dr. Anel’s (a fellow Orthodontist) office. Dr. Anel is kind, professional and friendly. Her practice is very clean and patient centric. It also doesn’t hurt to have… an unbelievable view of the wharf and ocean. Lucky to have a specialist Orthodontist in the area to help make some memorable smiles in the Northern Beaches.

Dr Anel has worked with both my daughters and I highly recommend the practice. Anel is kind, patient and empathetic. She understands teenagers and braces! Jacky is a wonderful assistant and is always friendly and welcoming. The offices are in a great location and the appointments run to time. We have all had a really positive experience with Manly Orthodontics.
