The founding President was well known local identity, Dr Kelly. Throughout the course of its proud history, Wingham Golf Club has been situated at five different locations. Firstly, the Wingham Racecourse, secondly, 'Gollans Paddock' on Wingham Road, and then 'Walsh's Paddock' adjoining the Wingham Showground.
Prior to World War 2, the Club moved back to 'Gollans Paddock' where it remained until 1953. The Club had never owned its own course, and as it was not possible to buy 'Gollans Paddock', the Board of Directors decided that it should purchase suitable land so permanent improvements like a proper Clubhouse and a watering system could be constructed.

Services
Wingham Golf Club is so much more than a venue to play a round of golf. The Club offers comfortable surrounds where family friendly activities can be enjoyed within a fun and relaxed atmosphere. The Club enjoys great camaraderie amongst its members not just on the golf course but also in the Clubhouse.
Wingham Golf Course is a picturesque 9 hole golf course with open fairways and a great opportunity to hit a driver off most tees. With slightly undulating greens and fairways, the course provides an excellent mix of diverse holes which complement the natural slopes of the course, making it a pleasure to play.
The Slope Rating is a measure of how much the difficulty of a course increases for the handicap golfer. The Slope Rating determines how many handicap strokes you get from a specific set of tees. The Scratch Rating is what your score is compared against when it's processed for handicapping. Your State Association's expert course raters have determined a Scratch Rating for each set of tees at our course.
Wingham Golf Club offers one of the cheapest golfing membership packages on the Mid North Coast. For around $5 per week, you can enjoy the benefits of being a full playing member with access to the course, all year round!. The process to becoming a member is easy and you can choose from a range of membership packages to suit your lifestyle and budget.
Our day was a success and we raised $2348 dollars towards the upgrade of the old pro shop. Thankyou to all those members and friends who donated the huge variety of goods we were able to offer for sale. As usual our Greenkeeper Hendo and his band of volunteers went above and beyond, allowing us to use the machinery shed and surrounds to host the sale and helping out whenever there was a need.
