Without sounding cliche, LED World started as a hobby business in my parents spare bedroom. I began buying and reselling other well-known manufacturers and brands products, which then evolved to replace my full time employment. I quickly realised that the products I was reselling could be improved.
So I went on a journey to learn electrotechnology and the manufacturing process, to bring my own products to the market. A key component of the business expanding to its current formation was a result from learning directly from mentors with a lifetime experience in lighting. I then went on to formally study lighting design, which allowed me to provide the best possible lighting advice to clients.

Every type of commercial application has a different set of needs to consider when devising a lighting scheme. There are general principles to follow, but the specific requirements of an art gallery will be different to those of a salon, for example.
Track lighting provides highly customisable and adaptable lighting solutions to suit a variety of commercial and residential uses. It suits a wide range of residential applications, from a kitchen or bedroom to a basement, laundry room or garage. See our Kitchen Track Lighting range. A small solution can even be used in a closet.
All of our linear pendant lights are available in a range of profile sizes. The full range available depends on the mounting method. Our surface-mounted or suspended linear pendants are available in a total of 15 different profile sizes, ranging from 17mm to 120mm. We offer a range of four different profile sizes for recessed linear profiles.
There are three different methods to mount our aluminium extrusions. Surface-mounting attaches the extrusion directly to the ceiling. This is a simple solution with straightforward installation, used for standard-height ceilings. For high ceilings, or to suspend over furniture, the extrusion can be suspended using one of our adjustable suspension kits.
LED panel lights feature a flat panel giving even illumination across their surface. They are often used as a modern and energy efficient update on fluorescent lighting in grid ceilings. They do not have the issues commonly associated with fluorescents, such as flicker, and their long life span makes them easy to maintain.
