Services
Each of our therapists have completed extensive training in accordance with our individual areas of expertise as well as enjoying offering support for general health and wellbeing. We are also committed to the Ethical and Professional Guidelines established by our governing bodies, including AHPRA; APS; and Clinical College of APS.
Through a range of non-pharmaceutical strategies and therapies psychologists aim to manage distress and to enhance and promote emotional wellbeing. In today's fast paced life, stress and disharmony can cloud the experience of a balanced, enjoyable life. Our clinicians have extensive training in human behaviour and have studied the brain, memory, learning and human development.
The Australian Psychological Society (APS) sets recommended fees for psychological services. We do not charge this full amount. Our helpful reception staff will be able to provide specific information regarding current fees for psychological interventions and assessment. Whilst a referral from a medical practitioner is not mandatory for you to see a psychologist, there may be rebates for you if this is organised.
What is the difference between psychology, clinical psychology, psychiatry, and counselling?. Psychologists study human behaviour in undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, subsequently completing a period of supervised experience prior to gaining registration. Unlike psychiatrists, psychologists do not obtain a medical degree and cannot prescribe medication, although they may have doctoral level qualifications.
Our Minding Family team is currently made up of a range of professionals including Clinical Psychologists, Registered Psychologists, Provisional Psychologists, an Occupational Therapist and three awesomely amazing administrators. Collectively, we have OVER 60 years of experience working with different presentations across the lifespan.
