We started as a small business working in an affiliate car rental program in Spain. Soon we realized that our customer's needs exceeded just car booking in Spain so we started to offer this service also in other countries. We created a platform that would not only allow our clients to book a car, but to make this process as easy as possible allowing our clients to choose their most suitable car rental plan.

Please, have in mind that when you pick up your car, it is required by the local supplier to leave a security deposit for the vehicle. I purchased a car online for the amount of 171.98. They took the money and told me I could pick up my car when I arrive.
I arrived on time, with all of my documentations and a credit card to receive my car rental. To my knowledge, the lady looked at my card and gave it back, and said they don't take credit cards.
I told her that is strange because they took my debit card online and I stated on the cancellation policy it states that they will only take a credit card upon arrival. I asked to speak to a manager and the lady told me they were not in.

TOTAL SCAM. Do not use these guys. I got on their website and got a quote for a two-day car rental in San Diego. Quote came back with a total price of $78.00. They offered a "Cancelation Protection" for an additional $22. I told my wife and since the total price would still be slightly lower that Expedia, we added it. I entered my credit card info and submitted. I received a confirmation email and the total was $157.00 - I IMMEDIATELY cancelled the rental. It was less than a minute from my receipt of the confirmation. They had changed the rental cost AND the Cancelation Protection

Unreliable, poor communication. Their website and prices were good, but you can't rely on them. I paid in full and was told that I would receive the confirmation by email. After a few days, I called to get my confirmation email. I was informed that they cancelled the reservation. They blamed it on Thrifty, Thrifty blamed it on them. They offered to let me rebook a smaller car for $102 more. Since I paid in full with no refund available, I requested an email for my credit card company so I could contest the charge if not refunded. The rep argued with me saying it wasn't necessary

Nothing but fraud they show me price 14.99 perday and insurance 12.99 per day for 3 day rentals total was 80.and cents they charged my card 264.46 and no details were andno were to be found .never book with this company best to go to straight to car rental company and pay extra i will not nor recommend anyone to book through economy booking. Com they have no office look at the website it says hours of operation and call them sorry you're calling after hours they are not ligit I am going to FTC and master card and visa credit card to stop them from making victim of fraud to many people.

Just picked up my vehicle from Dollar at the airport that Economy Booking booked me for. Was told I owe nothing at the counter since my boyfriend and I paid $400 for the vehicle already. Got to the counter and owed $500 on top of the $400 and the young driver fee. Not happy. Glad I have a car and they didn't cancel it before I got it like the other reviews but this is ridiculous. Wish I could give no stars.

I booked an Avis rental car with this company at the San Francisco airport in October and confirmed that the rental company accepted debit cards at pick up, so I planned to use my Chime bank card and they declined it, causing me to have to rent as a walk-up to National (who happily accepted my card). My Chime card is not a pre-paid card, and is where my salary is deposited. Economy Bookings is now refusing to refund my payment (they were closed by the time I was at the airport to pick up my car, which was 6:30 p.m. on a weeknight - super inconvenient). I would run far, far away from this company

We booked a convertible in advance.
When we arrived we were told the car had been rented out to someone else!
They did not have another convertible - so despite paying 3/4 times more than we would have done for the car they gave us, we have yet to get a refund.
We complained 3 weeks ago and have received no response.

This company is located in Riga, Latvia. Let that sink in for a moment.
There's a reason the Yelp rating is 1 star and all the other internet ratings are 5 stars: they are clearly using Russian bots to bump their ratings on other sites.
I have a similar story as the others (canceled my reservation weeks before the reservation date; they wouldn't refund my money; had to call the credit card company to get the charge reversed, etc.).

I used this company for a car rental place on a family vacation recently. And let's just say we spent the WHOLE vacation with NO car. The place I rented from didn't have any cars available for me. They were all rented out even though I rented and paid for it a month in advance. The car rental place were sending everyone to another car rental place, whom were then running out of cars themselves. When I asked for a refund from this company. They are horrible. I booked and cancelled on the time frame for the refund. Upon cancellation received a confirmation that would refund in 10-14 business day due to high demand....14 business days went by and nothing. Wrote an email got a response 3 days later that Financial department would contact me with guess what 10-14 business days. Again nothing. Try to call no one pick up the phone. Another email and guess the response...sorry for your inconvenience...Bla..Bal...Bal...wait 10-14 business days for your response....all default messages with no action....

I accidentally booked a car with no intention to do Thrifty cancelled it on their side and after a long struggle Economy Bookings cancelled it on their side but never refunded me but instead charged me twice!! I get no response from then on my emails and I'm considering taking legal action against them. I advise everyone against Economy Bookings if you don't want to lose/waste your money!!!!!!!

OK, they beat every internet site significantly in price so I thought it was probably a scam, especially when I could reach anyone when the fraud department at 2 different credit cards contacted me and declined their charge when I tried to pay (they are based out of the US). I tried reaching customer service after my charge was declined, but good luck trying to get a human on the phone.
If they could get their customer service in order, this could become a 5 star car rental site.

DONT EVER USE THIS BOOKING WEBSITE. Very unreliable. I booked my rental car yesterday and charged my account already. And today I got an email that my rental has been canceled..and the reason.. "others". What a service. I called customer service and she said that the car I rented is not available on my date. My trip is April 22 and that's the reason I booked earlier so I can get my rental car settled. And another down point my payment will be credit back 21 business day. So frustrating. PLEASE DON't use this. And by the way the rent a car company is SIXT. Very unfortunate

They are a scam! Do NOT book with Economy. I drove my friend 1.5 hours to the airport for him to get his rental. But you guessed it they wouldn't provide a vehicle for him due to lack of a credit card. Even though he was able to pay ahead and purchase full coverage insurance. Unfortunately, I eventually had to drive him 1.5 hrs back from the airport after he was unable to retain the vehicle he booked through economy bookings.
Worse they don't have phone support and he had to email a request for refund. They falsified documents saying he picked the vehicle up and i guess said he returned
