Cancellations: Full fees charged unless notification is received by your instructor 24 hrs before your lesson time or 5 working days before a licence test. Cancellations may be made via the Excel Drive office during business hours. IF calling out of office hours students will need to contact their instructor directly on the mobile number provided with general information sent by email after initial booking.

I took three refresher lessons with John and found him excellent. Much more knowledgeable than previous instructors I dealt with. He has a great manner, is friendly and puts you at ease but knows what you’re capable of so pushes you to get better. I passed my test with very few marks after my lessons with John (having failed miserably before meeting him!) Would definitely recommend!

I just completed a few pre-test lessons with John and I passed the test at the second attempt. John is an excellent instructor, who is considerate and demanding with your driving styles.
John pointed out your weaknesses while encouraging your strengths. He makes the lessons worth your time and enjoyable. It was a memorable experience for me and I am grateful that John gave me the priority as I had my test scheduled and I didn't get anyone to help me.
Highly recommended and I am confident that you will have safe driving habits from John for years!!!

I would highly recommend John. I was very nervous when I started lessons with him and he put me at ease straight away and gave me confidence. He says it how it is and will answer absolutely any questions you have (no matter how silly they might sound!) I’m delighted I passed my driving test! I will be recommending John to anyone who is looking to get their driving license!

My instructor Dimitri was absolutely amazing and so accommodating always came early to set up the plates, was never late and always spent the whole lesson learning great experience with not just the instructor but office staff as well I spoke to someone named Bianca and she was outstanding extremely clear to understand and very knowledgeable about her work overall great experience (:

Honestly do not recommend excel drive. I did all my hours with three different instructors, I've been on my Ls since I was 17 (I'm almost 23years old now) the only reason I'm still only LS is because the driving instructors would teach more more than the basics. I've now moved interstate to have one lesson and be told that I should already be on my Ps. strongly do not recommend Excel drive, lazy, rude, and very uneasy instructors

John is an absolutely fantastic instructor. I did pre-test lessons with him and quite frankly wish I had found him sooner and done my EDT lessons with him too. Very patient, personable and incredibly thorough and definitely the reason why I passed first time this morning. Couldn't recommend him enough and I have already passed on his details to others seeking lessons. Best instructor around by far!! :)

After over a year of lessons with a different driving school, I only had 4 things marked off in my logbook and my confidence was pretty much dead. I was at the point where I would get so anxious before a lesson Id feel sick ans couldn't concentrate at all..then someone recommended Dave Kendall from Excel Drive to me...I was super nervous before my… first lesson, but Dave instantly made me feel relaxed and very quickly rebuilt my confidence. I ended up looking forward to each lesson and it wasn't long before my log book was complete and I had my Ps! I can't thank Dave enough for helping me

Absolutely disgusting customer service. Happy to take your money enough for 3 lessons in advance. When you book online on an available time - you get sent a text message to say they are booked out. This happened on many occasions. My son tried calling the office and was never able to reach anyone direct. Left a message and never received a… call back. After 3 months of trying to book several times and no return calls or efforts to book an alternate time - I called on behalf of my son. The lady I spoke to knew straight away after explaining what had happened that it was their instructor

John is a brillant driving instructor and i would highly recommend him to anyone.

He always accommodated my schedule and went above and beyond to make sure I was confident and ready for my driving test. Without John I would not have passed my driving test 1st time around. I could not have asked for a more competent instuctor and he is definately one of the best in the business.

Highly recommend John to any one who is learning to drive and / or looking for pre test lessons. From the minute I told John I had received a test date, he went above and beyond to make sure I was as prepped as could be (for example, answering my million questions!) and was extremely flexible in arranging lessons on weekends / after work hours. John is extremely thorough in his approach and not only helped me to get 100% test ready, he taught me skills that help me to be the safest driver I can be for the rest of my driving career. Delighted to have passed my test but will miss our lessons - hopefully

Excel drive had been Rocky for me at the start until I had met the right driving instructor, Sathish. He truly pushed me to get my licence and had supported me through every driving lesson I have had with him. He has great social skills which makes me feel comfortable to be able to drive with him! 110% recommend Sathish to be your instructor if you are looking to achieve the most out of your lessons. Located in Adelaide.

Unfortunately I had very poor experiences with my instructor Jack Kumar. I failed my test the first time due to an automatic failure that I was never even informed about from him. You would think that such a potentially grievous error would be communicated to me.
To make matters even worse, he did not even give me the first time pass guarantee,… claiming that it was only given to people who have heaps of lessons. And when I complained to Excel Drive, Jack Kumar claimed that I did not receive the guarantee because he thought I wasn't ready to do the test.
I was only 2 minutes away from passing

He told me that I would need 6-8 months worth of driving lessons with him before I was even able to take my test. All lies! he's out to make money and not out for the student interest
Two weeks after he said this, I… got my licence passed on the first attempt. I really dislike driving instructors like this that are just out to take money from students as it's not right and not honest. I would not recommend him and I would not recommend this Driving School.
