Hip Hop is an umbrella term that incorporates many styles such as Popping, Locking, Breaking and Freestyle. For some, it is a way of life with its own culture. Hip Hop is a high-energy choreography class that uses the latest sounds in Hip Hop, R&B and Pop music. Hip Hop is most popular and seen often in music video clips and TV.
After appearing on Australia's Got Talent in 2012 with their crew Superhoodz, Kat and Troy decided to open up their own studio and established Street Dance Studios. Located in Mitcham in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, they provide authentic hip-hop classes for students aged 2 years and up. Street Dance Studios teach street styles such as hip-hop, breaking and freestyle.
VPSDC is a brand new initiative designed to get primary school students dancing in both a group and individual setting. Based off a very similar structure to that of 'interschool sports', primary schools will be broken up into districts where they will compete against other schools, ultimately looking for a national championship-winning dance team.

SDS is an amazing studio! With extremely talented, kind and positive teachers when it comes to teaching! The desk ladies are friendly and helpful. All classes are fun and laid back. Classes range from beginner with easy to follow step by step routines to advance which is a bit more challenging! I definitely recommend this dance studio if you are searching for one!

After the studio not responding to a number of emails of enquiry re: their pricing arrangements, I decided to take my 5 year old son to a class. I told the teacher of the class that it was his first time there and he did not know anything. She made no attempt to show him how to do any of the moves nor place him in a position where he could see what she was doing. All she did was stand up the front of a class of 16 students and expect them to copy her (think an adult aerobic style of instruction). My son ended up crying in the first 5 minutes (he is not naturally a 'crier' and is quite happy go
