Atlas Turf is a family owned business operating two farms in Sydney and one on the Central Coast. We have over 30 years experience in the turf industry and are specialists in growing varieties of buffalo turf including Australia's no. 1 lawn choice Sir Walter Buffalo. We supply turf for both the commercial and residential markets across Sydney, South Coast, Central Coast and Hunter Valley regions.
Born right here in Australia, Sir Walter was bred to be tough yet soft, and good looking to boot! Since 1997 there has been over 100 million metres of Sir Walter Buffalo turf sold Australia wide - the equivalent to 750,000 homes. It is versatile and hardy, many factors which cause most other lawns a problem are not a problem for Sir Walter.
Palmetto Soft Leaf Buffalo has a long broad soft leaf which is shade and drought tolerant. Extremely hardy once established and retains its colour during the winter months. This turf is a medium grower with a strong root system which recovers quickly from damage. A Palmetto lawn will require a medium level of maintenance during the summer months, lower than many other turf varieties.
Sapphire Soft Leaf Buffalo is a all round performer with a fine leaf & great winter colour. However, Sapphire Buffalo Turf has the added benefit of a finer texture and deep green colour. Sapphire's deep-rooted system means it will stay greener for longer in dry summer conditions and requires less watering than most lawns.
Matilda Soft Leaf Buffalo is a semi dwarf leaf variety, ideal for families with children & pets. It is incredibly soft texture underfoot, low allergy & has a high wear resistance. Matilda turf is very soft to touch but still extremely hard wearing with a very dense growing habit that provides excellent protection against weeds.

On time delivery from across Sydney. The grass (Palmetto) arrived on two pallets. The driver had them off his truck and on the footpath in 15mins or less. Each roll was nicely moist and had plenty of rich clay soil attached. Couldn't ask for better service or quality. Oh, and they generously gave 80m2 when I only ordered 78. Nice one!

The Best quality turf! I bought some Sapphire Buffalo Turf and it is so soft, lush and beautiful. Its the kids and dogs favourite spot to rest and lie in the sun. Thank you to the friendly staff for their helpful tips and professional delivery right to where I was laying it. It made it very easy !!! VERY IMPRESSED !!!
