Coming to my first retreat I wasn't sure what to expect. My experience here is overwhelming to say the least. I have so enjoyed every day and sad it's all coming to an end. The receptionist was lovely but that's where it basically ended. The Bungalow smelt funny, walls need repainting badly, toilet seat is all over the place, ants in the kitchen which ruined some of our food. The WiFi was slow, the TV reception and Foxtel would cut in and out. The TV in the bedroom wouldn't stream anything at all. The pool area was nice but the restaurant customers watch you in the pool as there's no boundary or privacy screen. It has a great range of mini bar items though. The furniture is modern and the room was clean. The bed was comfy too.

The view was nice. Upgraded to a freshly "renovated" (read: new paint and pictures on the wall, cheap wood-look lino flooring, no work done to the bathroom or kitchenette) room for free. The single bed was so old and thin the wooden slats under the mattress could be felt and made for an uncomfortable night's sleep. When we complained about the single bed, we were told the apartments all have spear owners and they can't force anyone to change it. The queen bed was average. Management of the complex should maybe consider some minimum standards for owners to comply with if they want to continue charging

Bungalow was nice and spacey. Rooms were clean. Close to Marina and National Park and only 10 minute drive to Yeppoon. Beaches Restaurant next door has delicious food and friendly service.
I intentionally booked a room that had a washing machine and a dryer as i knew i would need it after our day trip to the island. The washing machine did not work and the dryer took an extremely long time to dry anything after hand washing the items. I couldn't get a hold of reception to get it fixed and when i told them when checking out they said that they were busy and thats why i couldn't get a hold of them

Check in was pretty grim. Hostess was very un inviting. Room was very nice. Facilities were nice. Tv, when turned on was on a channel, tried to change the channel and then couldn’t find a thing. Couldn’t switch it back, couldn’t get anyone to help us. Just wanted to watch a bit of tv to go to sleep.
Would definitely not call this a resort. Probably not even motel standards.

I stayed here over a weekend for a wedding as well as many other people from the wedding. We all thought the rooms where nothing special and the smelt gross when you first walked in. Our shower had a window that you could see-through at night and there was no blinds. I slept in a room that could fit 6 people though 5 of us were staying together. The room had trundle beds and the 2 beds on the bottom looked like they were covered in dog hair. There was another wedding happening when we were staying and Saturday night they were partying away. I wouldn't recommend staying here again for what my family

My partner and I stayed here two weeks ago on the 9th. To start with reception had terrible communication, we had called ahead and booked a "premium" room for an ocean view, we were not advised that a $200 security deposit would be required untill we checked in, before which point the room charge had already been taken out of our account.
The room left much to be desired. Broken blinds that made it impossible to enjoy the view, an extremely uncomfortable bed that was horrible to sleep in, a quarter of a used toilet paper roll left in the bathroom and quite a lot of road noise. I would not call

Good rates with clean modern rooms. Listen to the waves break on the beach all night. Great views of the islands and boats. Close to the marina and restaurant down stairs. Showers have great water pressure with very hot water. Rooms maintained daily and great reception staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Resort itself is nice, brilliant location for the marina and the food in the restaurant was absolutely amazing (best calamari I've ever had!)
The room was basic, but clean and comfortable however the bathroom was so bad we actually laughed when we saw it. The sink was so small you had to almost rest your head again the corner of the wall to make sure you were over it when brushing your teeth, and the mirror was a tiny random thing attached to an arm coming out of the wall.
5* for everything outside of the room
3* for the room
1* for the bathroom (the water pressure was nice after a long drive

Very nice place by the marina which made for nice views of the boats and the water. Grounds are immaculate. Staff friendly and happy to help. Only stayed 1 night but very comfortable. The TV remote control had a problem but it was attended to quickly. A negative was no air conditioner in the bedroom but otherwise a very comfortable stay. Definitely recommend and would stay again.
