Peacocke, Dickens & Price (up until 2007) evolved out of the legal practice of McGuinn & McGuinn was established by brothers Denis McGuinn & Martin McGuinn.
Their father Luke McGuinn having arrived in Dubbo in 1861 as the Clerk of Petty Sessions. In 1963 Peter & Gerry Peacocke bought the practice of McGuinn and McGuinn which was then operated by Frank Smith. In 1964 Peter & Gerry were joined by Ian Dickens, later also by Derek Price thus giving rise to the name under which the firm traded of Peacocke Dickens & Price for many years.
